And I love how people blindly follow Kanye and hypebeasts. Boost is nice, but no one was paying attention to Adidas before Kanye signed with them. Boost has been around since 2012, but no one paid any attention to it. Pure Boosts were on clearance for $20 at Footlocker at one point. Everyone was dogging adidas basketball thanks to D-Rose's constant knee injuries too. But then Kanye signs with adidas, builds the hype, and then releases Boost mixed in with Primeknit, (basically a rip-off of Flyknit) and now Adidas is great? Lol. Ok.
I'm happy there's competition though. It's caused Nike to lower their prices. However, if I'm choosing equipment to work out in/play in, I'll gladly take Nike all day, every day, twice on Sunday.
All that and Nothing related to the Lebron 14 ? Adidas thread is somewhere else lil homie
rock mne causallylmaooo
I've never seen anyone rocking those casually
i couldnt see FK on any bron shoe reallyI would like to see flyknit incorporated into the Bron 14 but doubt it
Hard to say. There is definitely nobody in the pipeline that is remotely close to Lebron caliber, and the most interesting guys are signed with other brands. Ben Simmons has great potential as a signature athlete based on his handles and passing ability, but he needs to learn to shoot and become a bona fide superstar first. With LeBron getting older and PG getting his own sig, who do you think the next sig athlete will be?

D Lillard is another guy who I think is a perfect signature athlete right now. Harden sort of as well, but his game isn't visually what you'd hope for and his personality has issues too.My nephew and his friends are in 6th grade and they only want Currys. Obviously that's a very small, unscientific study of that demo, but it appears Nike doesn't have the stronghold on that age group now like they did when I was that age.
I agree. That's why I said it's crazy if you think Adidas and UA won't start playing catch up. My nephew and his friends are in 6th grade and they only want Currys. Obviously that's a very small, unscientific study of that demo, but it appears Nike doesn't have the stronghold on that age group now like they did when I was that age.
I'd like to see someone like Porzingis get a sig because I feel like he could crossover sell crazy in Europe as well as get some sales here, plus it'd be different, but I doubt it happens. Maybe if he goes off next year but would be cool.
Interesting, but what makes the Celtics the perfect team? They've got no shot at the east till LeBron switches teams or massively declines. So probably 3+ yearsI know it's a long shot, but I'd like to see Isaiah Thomas be the next sig. Nike has to still be upset about the emergence of Curry, so it would make sense to try and capitalize on the popularity of the "short three-shooter" build. Plus, he's on the perfect team. Again, I know he's not the best player in the league, but would just be interesting to see.
I've lost all hope for this thread [emoji]128514[/emoji]
