I’ve been wearing my gold medals almost every day trying to stretch them out they’re so narrow and I got wide feet. After a few hours my pinky toe area is hurting and I even half sized up. Im gonna have to bite the bullet and find another pair a full size up.

Usual size in most shoes is 8.5. These gold medals are size 9. Gonna have to get a 9.5 just so my pinky toes aren’t pissed. I’ll just wear thicker socks if the shoe is long I guess.
Tried that. Left it in there for 3 days even with the bunion pods. Still didn’t work like it went back to its usual shape.

Try leaving the shoe stretcher in for ~2 weeks. I had to stretch a pair of huaraches, the first go around I did it for 2-3days and they were still too snug, Re did it for a couple weeks and now they fit very nice. YMMV

That’s crazy but yeah idk when or why the shift/obsession with “formfitting” shoes started (maybe 2019-ish with the kd 12 and protro 5s) but i went to DSG a few months ago, tried on every Nike bball shoe like Lebron 21s, KD 17s, GT cut 2s and they were all narrow and snug as hell just like the protro 5s. What i like to do is try and flick the big toe against 2nd toe, if i can do it easily and hear a thump that’s how i know i have good toe space, esp if i can do that while wearing elite socks.
I feel like even my non broken-in kobe 11s have more space than any protro
Appreciate it. Had the galaxies back in the day and remember them being kind of snug. Didn't remember how the cushion set up was. Sucks to hear they're stiff. Is it because that insole? or are they both stiff? You got me considering to cop a pair with those pics. Kinda skeptical with the age though

The plastic has no give (and i understand the 4-6’s were also plastic based sneakers, but the 7’s shallow and narrow toe box design was a flawed design approach).
And the insole is very stiff. I can see why they were not favored by the mamba much (and obvious why they havent protroed them yet).
Unforgiving upper material and hard cushioning/insole is a recipe for a damaged achilles (and after wearing the 7s for an entire season, look what happened to kobs the following year).
What i think the 7’s would benefit from are maybe something more contemporary, modern zoom setup that is equal parts stable and has sufficient bounce to the ounce.
My direct reaction to that, like a kells and hova album:

PG’s sigs will be greatly missed. Definitely a worthy successor to the kobe bryant brand/lineage (but not so much the player ).
I have regular feet. With knowing how my 11.5s were(i would wear them to work with casual socks to help break them in).... when I decided to get a hooping pair... I knew I had to go a half size up to a 12. And I was good from there. Pair held me down in leagues... pick up games in Beijing.. some outdoor sessions out here and still were was able to them back to indoor hoops before they separated on me last year March.

Fully understanding how good the Og 4,5,6 run was. I liked the 7s more… I wore the absolute life out of My poison darts and opening days. They for sure had a rough break in but after they were butter
