If they release these in Red or Navy I'm definitely copping. I love the design, I just have way too many volt and plat shoes.

I 100% agree. I thing they are different, comfortable, good effort by Nike to finally make something edgy and innovative. don't know why haters gotta hate them. I picked up the gray and ordered the volt, although I gotta try on and see how bright they are but since I didn't have a volt maybe I'll keep them, if other colors don't come out. not going to go Kobe 11 crazy over them but if we get some cool colors, I can see copping a few more. DEfinitely good for ball and as a casual shoe. I got complimented on the way they looked with jeans. THis could have been a good Kobe 12...if Kobe level colors came out. as for size definitely TTS and I didn't have any issues getting them on. HOpe those who got rock them.

Picked these up today. Been very critical of the AD, but these are going to be designated as my 'Summer Kobes' this year. The light bone goes really well with gum soles. And I was able to get them for $136, so that made the decision easy. If allowed a discount, I definitely recommend (although if you get the PG1s, it's probably 'light bone' overkill).

I'm saying. Sometimes people don't like change. Read on IG that they don't look nothing like previous models. I'm thinking so what, it's good to change things up. These are dope AF and can't wait to rock these. Yes, the price point is a bit high, but so were the 11 elite and 10 and 9 elites too. Those were $225 lol people just always wanna complain about something.

Yea that would be a better pricing point but then people would still complain

A brief review.
Wore these all day yesterday.
Bottom line, as a casual shoe they are quite nice looking and very comfortable.
The lacing system is suitable, I had no issues at all with it.
The grip on these seems very good, better than the A.D.'s.
Overall, I would rate these well above the A.D.'s in all aspects and while I didn't play ball in them
I believe these will be a very good to above average court shoe.
All I can say is nicely done Nike for stepping out of the box with a Kobe sneaker.

Ran out Saturday grabbed the volt NXT and balled in them. They're light, pretty comfortable ( I think the second wear will be better), and traction was great. The floor I play on is getting dirtier and lost it's gloss from spring sports using it.I adjusted the strings mid through and tightened because the shoe was breaking in to me feet. The strings did tuck under the string in the back, but dangled a little. I didn't notice it at while playing.
Definitely runs TTS too.
I have to say I'm impressed with the shoe and like the fact that's its completely different from it's sister AD. I don't love the price and will definitely look to get discounts on futures pairs....maybe 1 or 2 more.

Great review. I haven't hooped in mine, nor have I worn them yet. They're still too new and pretty for me to wear and I still have so many other Kobe's I've copped that I've yet to wear so i'll have to schedule them in lol
But all in all that's a good review. I too am not too fond of the price, but I've purchased so many other Kobe's (elites for this price and more - elite highs) that it is nothing new to me.
When Nike sold the AD, with a smaller zoom pocket for cheaper, people complained, now they give us another elite type of Kobe and raised the price back up due to the tech, and people still are complaining. Can't please everyone I guess, as they'll always find something to complain about. If the price tag hurts, try to get ebates, VIP discounts etc.

Maybe they should have called the NXTs the 'Kobe BC' instead of AD since shoe laces were invented around 3300 BC, and the lacing system on the NXT is actually less efficient than plain old shoelaces.

My point was that a lot of other people do, hence the negativity. They aren't just complaining for the sake of it

As far as I'm concerned, the negativity is the pricing. When we can get full zoom and flyknit in the kd9 for 150, why is this shoe 200? Pure money grab.
