Gotta agree. It seems to be the theme of the line right now with having the white midsole. They should of made the shoe all red, no white!
The Grey, Black, Red, White, and upcoming Navy colorway all have it.

Do you guys think an XDR rubber outsole will work just as well as the solid white rubber during in door court use?
Thanks. Yea, I'm hoping the firmer rubber will prevent the tiny outrigger from rolling inwards as Jahronmon and Schwollo have noticed in their reviews.Yes, I believe you will get similar traction. They may have a slightly different feel due to the different formulation used for the sole.
How narrow does it feel after sizing down? Is the length long like the Kobe 11's?The red pair looks really good in person.
I actually tried these on in store and first impressions are good. Theres a decent balance between court feel and impact protection. The shoe is very narrow and I have narrow feet - I also felt the shoe was quite long. I'm going to go 0.5 size down. I figured you don't want your foot to slide forward too much.
The upper is a little stiff near the ankle area but this should soften up after a few wears.
Traction seemed decent. Got a few squeaks on the cement floor and i'm positive it'll bite on the hardwood. A dusty floor is a dusty floor.. no shoe will bite.
Finally the 1-to-1 feel, fit and transition felt great.
One thing I didn't like was the slightly rounded laces, I think flat laces would give it a better lock down/secure fit.
Based on the initial impressions I think this shoe will be a decent pick up. Depending on how Nike employ the FK it could be even better.
Strait after this I also tried the K3 again.. that shoe felt like plastic compared to the AD.

You sure about that? Look at this insole vs the one on his shoe. Those are IDs not PEs
Fire options?Great Job Nike give us fire options for the AD even though when shoe is a bad performer and probably the worst Kobe
Fire options?
but those options aren't fire....I'm assume he's referring to the ID's and the options available
but those options aren't fire....
Maybe for the later models but there were REAL fire options with the earlier models like 4s & 5s for example.
The only "fire" options have been multicolors.
I'm usually a 9 in most ball shoes, but I literally had a whole width of a thumb in between my big toe and the front of the shoe. How narrow does it feel after sizing down? Is the length long like the Kobe 11's?
