The Official Netflix Thread Tho: Recommend Streaming Movies

Growing up just south of Seattle I remember my parents talking about that bank robber but I haven't really thought about it in several years. Gonna catch this soon.

How to Rob a Bank was riveting. Surprised there hasn't been a movie about this before.

Hit Man was cool too

Anyone else have a tougher time watching movies nowadays because you don’t have alone time?

I realize I’m not really comfortable watching movies with my spouse lol. She gets too into right and wrong or if the vibe is off she gives up too easily in the beginning. I was watching Hit Man and was enjoying the flick and that girl in it is absolute bae and i could tell my girl not enjoying it because of morality of what they are doing etc. I just suspend belief and enjoy flicks. She’s not very into romance in movies either so that’s probably part of why the movie doesn’t resonate with her.

TLDR unless it’s the perfect sort of flick like Top Gun or Jurassic World etc it’s hard to watch flicks with her. I think partly it’s because we’re at home watching so she’s halfway plugged into i have other stuff i’d rather watch or do.

Nowadays i usually just watch flicks on my days off when she’s working

Man!!!

Almost never watch movies at home with my wife

I’m like 8 months in lol. We def be like “imma watch this on my own time” for various shows/movies.

Wifey be trying to watch foreign films with the horrible dub on it, and I just can’t do it

At least she’s into A24 movies and horror flicks. But anything else in between is a toss up lol. Feel like we spend more time looking for something to watch, than actually watching something together

lol not wrong. been watching sweet tooth too got a weird annoying sucks you in charm. then randomly violent in that end of world sick sort of way.

Yea it's endearing and dark at the same time.

Sweet tooth is the stereotypical annoying child in every movie but he gets sh** done.

What's annoying me this season is people traveling across the country on foot and 1 tank of gas in 2 days.

Yeah, absolutely, if there's a movie I really want to watch like the Batman or minus one, there's no way I will watch it with her

I realized the best genre to watch with my wife was 90s Rom coms so I stick to that during movie nights.

Everyone is happier that way lol

Got halfway thru last night , hella entertaining. Prob will resume/finish tonight.

I grew up in Seattle, born in 84 so you’d think I’d have remembered this story, part of me thinks I did hear about it as a kid but erased it from my brain like a lot of my past lol

People watch Jessica Alba movies for her acting skills?

I’m on s2 ep2 of Your Honor

The plot twists and turns have been crazy. What I’m struggling with is powering thru when it’s just continuously dark and depressing, with little to no action, and literally every single character is a scumbag besides prob Eugene.

Adam/Michael scumbags. Mayor scumbag. Desire crew/baxter crew all trash. Like can we get a character to get behind ? So depressing I may tap out.

I think that’s kind of the point, in that there are no “good or bad guys”, just different people in various circumstances doing what is in their own best interest.
