The Official NBA Thread: LeBron James signs with the Philadelphia 76ers

Grantland was dope and was my introduction to Bill. I don't listen to any of his pods but there's a few ringer shows like Ringer Tailgate I listen to. Rewatchables is unlistenable he's too focused on the format of the show. This man was interrupting a story from Steven Spielberg because he didn't want to talk about one small sentence until later on 🤣. Man stopped the whole segment and moved on but it's not just Steve every episode I've tried to listen to one of the co-host will start talking and say wait can we talk about that yet bills like nah save that for later 🤣🤦🏾‍♂️ annoying AF. I'm definitely not going to BS for basketball takes either. An old white man from Boston definitely got a touch of the 'cism in his tone no matter how much he tries to hide it.

My hot take Summer League overreaction is that I don’t know about this being a draft class that’s going be up there with 2003, etc.

Feel like that comp was crazy in the first place. To start, nobody in this class is remotely comparable to Bron. Probably not to Wade either.

Think the top 4 and maybe some others can string together a bunch of all-star appearances but not quite seeing them as absolute transcendent stars.

I don't think anyone is saying it's as good. But, it could certainly be the best since 2003, which is a very long time considering the three best classes in modern NBA history all happened within 20 years of each other (1984, 1996, 2003). I mean, Chris Bosh has ONE All-NBA Team selection (2nd in 2007), and Carmelo's playoff resume is abysmal. Both of their careers could be eclipsed in some manner by guys from this class with some more individual accolades and playoff success.
