That circular dial probably has an LED countdown, as opposed to the square that just lights up once it hits 0. Just my hypothesis

The NBA has mandated that the color red will still mean “end of period" and that the color amber will still mean a “shot-clock expiration." But, through new RGB LED light strip technology, the league will add a green-shaded countdown for coaches challenges and have the ability, on special occasions, to spruce up the shot clocks with any other color.”

The NBA, taking its 24-second countdown to an art form, has introduced an LED-infused shot clock in partnership with Tissot that will debut at next month’s All-Star Game and then be deployed full-time starting in the 2025-26 season.

TO stats definitely get overblown, especially for high usage players. No turnover is good, but not all are created equal. It’s only the dumb, live-ball TOs that are real killers.
