The Official NBA Season Thread: Kings Fire Mike Brown

I remember when Adam Silver came in and everybody loved him cause the players could literally do whatever they wanted. Kornhieser always held firm that he had no backbone and it would eventually backfire on him. Which it has pretty much.

Yea folks love the parent that lets them sit up all night eating ice cream and pizza but when you get older you end up realizing that same parent is the cause for most of your issues as an adult.

Teams are scoring more and still shooting with equal or better efficiency than decades past, so is it really getting sloppy and lazy?

Those back door cuts, off ball screens, and dives to the rim are still happening, largely in part because spacing and ball movement in the league is at an all time high. defenses have to play honest and defend at least 35 feet away from the rim, and can’t just clog the paint anymore

Defense is nothing like the past. So these dudes today can’t shoot lol. Nice data points tho, thanks for the share.

His 'If only the league had a living breathing commissioner' line is probably my favorite running gag on PTI :lol

He hated Silver from the jump

I think the general American public just likes football a lot more than basketball. All the gimmicks and such the NBA tries is just meh.

Doesn't help that the touted young players just ain't hittin like many expected them to like Zion.

he just watches the bus run them over without intervening
He’s more tied to the Bay Area than he is to winning basketball at this point in his career. It’s really not much different than LeBron and the Lakers. These teams can’t construct rosters to win and they won’t win the rest of their careers.

For guys who have built up brands, bought real estate in their team’s market and are generally happy after winning 4+ titles, there’s not much incentive left to criticize or bust balls.

If you can't challenge non-calls, I don't think they should be able to change a foul call from #23 to #9.

They didn't call a foul on #9 to begin with & the coach challenged the contact from #23. Other player wasn't in the picture until they went to the monitor.

Wholeheartedly disagree. If you’re gonna review it and there was a foul, call it on the guy who committed it. This isn’t rocket surgery!
