The Official NBA Season Thread

The whole process thing in philly has been a disaster. Multiple lottery picks over the years and most of them gone and no ecf appearances for the team. They have embiid who is always hurt and now not even playing back to backs.

Maxey being gone has elevated Lowry and Gordon to positions they can't contribute to anymore. At least McCain is showing out, but I don't think they can play Maxey and McCain at the same time without bleeding points on D.

Nurse should be reported for elder abuse :smh:

The Sixers had their chance to fix it. Answer was very obvious.

Kudos to the Knicks. Ended up moving players that very obviously needed to be moved and got better value than Joel Embiid.
Through every coaching change, trade, signing, 'big three' assembled, process, & scapegoat in Philadelphia, there has been one constant.
Embiid getting a jersey retirement and statue?

If you are comparing it to RJ Barretts career than yes lol

Zion who has not played a single playoff game? And no the barometer can't change cause it's RJ. If player A has more All stars than player B then he is better than player B. That's the argument you're making.

Lebron has 20 AS games appearances to Jordans 14. I already know Bron is better that means you agree as well?

Its definitely depends on the players your ranking. Robert Horry has more rings than Lebron and MJ. Is he better than either? Of course not. But when comparing players like Zion and RJ where neither has accomplished a damn thing in the league things like All Star Selections/Play in appearances matter are a good barometer. But what has RJ done to have a better career than Zion if they both retired today?

Zion plays like 30 games a year.

If we redo the 2019 NBA Draft Zion isn't a top 5 pick....might not be top 10

Been available for starters.
Being available and not good isn’t any better. He’s coming around but if ever gets close to the impact of peak Zion it would be a miracle. In 2021 I believe Zion was shooting better than any player ever at the rim. 63% or something like that. At 6’6 that’s insane

What impact is peak Zion?

Barrett isn't good? I'd say he's been a solid contributor for his career. Almost averaging 20ppg the last 6 seasons. Never said he was a star but sometimes your best attribute is availability.
