The west is honestly up for grabs now. The rockets are like the 3rd best team already. Grabbing Giannis smack dab in his prime, while still having some pieces because of depth is the logical move. Even if they bring back say like a portis or something. It helps Houston kind of grow up fast. Especially with a coach like Ime.

They’re kind of ripe for the trade, honestly.

Yea I was watching. Definitely was impressed by the young dude. A few instances I was noticing how he wasn't biting on those relocation pumpfakes.

Yeah I wouldn’t pass up on the trade because I don’t really think Houston has a true star on their roster. And I don’t think they could win a playoff series against anyone as currently constructed.

Just don’t think it would be enough to put them over the top, which is kinda what you’re doing if you’re trading for The Greek Child. Think they’d still have enough pieces to shuffle around more.

On the surface I think HOU might have seen the success DEN has had with The Joke and wants to build around Big Alfred. So maybe they think Greek the Freak gets in the way of those philosophically and money wise.

That would be my guess.
