Feel like Silver had no choice but to do this. Someone expendable to the league so might as well give the harshest punishment possible to hopefully create a deterrent.

Don’t see the issue with it all. Involving your own participation is an obvious no-no.Lifetime ban is crazzzyyyyyy
Absolutely.Don’t see the issue with it all. Involving your own participation is an obvious no-no.
It does but that’s a straw man argument too. Where’s the high profile guy who got a pass being this brazen?Absolutely.
And it happens to be a perfect opportunity for the league to do something related to gambling that gives the appearance of “we take this really seriously and won’t tolerate behavior like this” while not having it impact anyone who is actually of consequence to the league.
There hasn’t been one as far as any of us know. And if it never happens, the NBA can attribute it to swiftly dropping the hammer on Porter and making an example of him.It does but that’s a straw man argument too. Where’s the high profile guy who got a pass being this brazen?
Watch that man move. It ain’t the same.I realize people hate the Warriors but how is a guy who finished 4th in 3’s and made his career on shooting “cooked”? His stroke is lost forever?
Biggest thing that has hurt him and the entire org the last two seasons is mental **** cause their locker room and relationship with lazy coaches is a mess.
I could see his numbers jumping back up next year in a different situation, but you can’t call a guy cooked when he’s still doing more at what he was hired to do than 90% of the league this year.
