The Official NBA Season Thread: NBA Cup Night

Y'all opened this Pandora box of allowing disrespect to today's stars to continue to elevate players of the 90's then act surprised when other people continue that disrespect.

This is what y'all wanted.

Thing is that it isn't simply dudes out the league who have said this, The start of all these player pods & hearing more from the non superstars really sheds light on how much of sticking around in the league is based on politics & business decisions, so i get their frustration.
That’s everywhere tho…They got a real wake up call if they don’t think that politics and finances play a role overseas…They even got dudes on year to year non guaranteed deals cuz of those things :lol

Ask the players that fought so hard to get to or get back in the NBA bout those things and how sweet or different it is the rest of the world

Those veteran guys also cost more money to roster than a young G-League type or something like that.

Not really trying to hear the crying at the end of the day though. They had their chances and things went sideways for one way or another. **** happens.

It's the same sort of jealousy for dudes that made it and are still highlight players that some football and track athletes feel. Redefine it as something else and diminish the competition in your head.

Jabari mad his body couldn't handle the rigors of the schedule and his game wasnt good enough.
I don’t think his game was an issue. He could score pretty easily but he couldn’t defend before his knees gave out. Only got worse on that end.

Can’t defend in space you either go to the easier league to defend or become a republican

The NBA now more than ever emphasizes speed and atheletes.

If youre washed you are gonna find out quick. You cant hide on the floor no more especially if you’re under sized

I think that's the other way around, most of the talk is centered around today's players are so more skilled and smarter and the 90's was all bad basketball and fighting.

Of course that would be ideal for everyone but can’t really trade a Top 11-20 player making $45MM this year for a package you want just to avoid awkwardness on Media Day. Assuming Dame isn’t playing Portland for this year, it doesn’t matter if he shows up/participates or not but it’ll be more important to the receiving team that he is integrated as soon as possible. So the Heat, Raptors or whatever team better step up with something Portland deems to be serious ASAP

They had months to figure this out though. Would be a mess going into the season
