The Official NBA Season Thread: NBA Cup Night

i do, hence why I think Ant is still better than Lamelo despite Melo having better feel for the game.
LaMelo’s effort level and feel for the game defensively is just as bad as the offense is good. Despite his size, teams build their entire offense around attacking him. And if he’d ever make the playoffs it would be amplified even further.

It’s the main reason I struggle to put him on the pedestal that some in here do, while still acknowledging how good his offense is even with the goofiness.

W take. If a bunch of fat dudes are your sports' legends, it isn't a sport. Oh man you hit a ball with a stick and ran 90 feet congrats!

*laughs in Ohtani*

Yet you got freak specimens that can’t hit a ball off a tee and The goat of your sport having to play with a bunch of journeymen minor leaguers :lol

i think his instincts and feel for the game on defense is actually, good, he can anticipate, and make plays as a helper, not everyone can make.

i agree the effort is poor and he's just fundamentally unserious.

which is why I concede to being wrong about Ant vs. Melo.

I've been one of the main ones poking holes in Ant's game and I've also routinely said that he can be the best guard in the league eventually. And that I would take him over LaMelo (defense is definitely the driving part of that). I think a lot of the LaMelo discussion is somewhat unfair because he basically has been stuck in the worst organization to develop. He plays on a team that has been filled with unserious individuals for a crap org.

And my point about bringing up Booker and Mitchell is that they are similar to Ant. Neither are natural distributors but both have developed that part of their game over time (especially Booker). Ant can get there I believe and I think having a down year (comparatively to last year) might help him in the long run to address his shortcomings sooner.

I've brought up raw numbers and other stuff but it's not about that, it's a feeling. Too often when I watch Ant, I rarely see him get the ball and make an instant swing (probably did this more last year when he had KAT at the three-point line to be fair). It's a lot of taking the ball above the arc to prepare for a drive or a pull up, and that just isn't great team offense.

From the amount of fast food all of y'all also seemingly eat, I'ma pray for your colon's.

I haven't had fast food all week, my pallet just elite and I know good fried food when I taste it cause I'm from the South. Southern food > every other region of the country.

Lamelo over Ant btw but I been called this, y'all just now getting hip. Let them MJ comparisons trick y'all.

Avacado toast? Instance glance over on any menu

Cats in here eating Avocado toast but when it's time to talk about milk women I'm the poster child?

THEY'RE IN HERE LYING.
They don’t eat it proudly. Sounds cool to order but they really want a classic bacon & egg combo.

I love it but it’s also something I’d pretty much never order out because of how easy it is to make at home. No restaurant is doing it considerably better.
Add that it’s also typically overpriced for what’s offered.

Bum *** Monument sports network, couldn’t even watch the Wizards/Spurs game last night where they put up crazy numbers n looked like a fun one :{

Gotta get rid of these regional networks or do something with league pass cuz it’s unacceptable that it’s harder to watch a team down the street than on another coast

They have a streaming service that's $19.99/month or $199.99/year.
