The Official NBA Season Thread: NBA Cup Night

Knicks suck when defended by switches , they dont take enough 3’s. They dont have any good playmakers as well.

On defense KAT is terrible on P&R coverage . They dont really have a bench so they get tired defensively

Lots of issues early on.

1. No identity
2. Brunson still adjusting to adding KAT
3. Thibs rotations even worse. Cant be playing 7 guys 40 min 9 games in.

:pimp:

Adding KAT plus their other offseason moves improved their offense (3rd best in the league) but their defense has fallen off hard compared to last year (24th so far).

Wow. That bad huh? Considering they have some of the best perimeter defenders in the league, you'd think Thibs would know how to cover KAT's defensive shortcomings, especially with Thib's experience coaching KAT in Minny.

I do think Mitch and KAT will start together once he's back. Gotta sacrifice some offense to bolster the defense/rebounding.

We need another bench piece and Hart is better leading the bench. Can sub in for anyone.

Minny had the blue print on making two bigs work together in today's game. And ageed Hart should come off the bench even though he will most likely be playing 30+ mins a game.

Is it for the championship run from last year? It was the easiest and most boring path to a chip since the KD/ GSW era. Not sure why they picked this team.

How would they know how the season would play out before it actually played out?

Also it was easy because they were that much better than the field. They showed that during the reg season setting all sorts of record beat downs.

I lowkey think the trade deadline will be dead because of the first-second apron rules, picks owed already. Woj saw the vision.
You’re probably right. Plus, I can’t think of a trade out there that might really be a needle mover in terms of the championship landscape. Unless the Bucks trade Giannis to a West team.

Remember when the Kat trade happened and all the NT basketball experts called people casuals for saying this trade doesn't make them better and that kat is a guy who puts up great stats but isn't a needle mover. Knicks need to make more moves.
