It's so weird that there's criticism over Embiid playing for Team USA. Do people just forget Ewing played for two Olympic teams and Hakeem played for one after becoming citizens? Ewing became a citizen while at Georgetown, and Hakeem in 1993. Maybe it's the part where France would have an unstoppable front line, but Embiid has lived half his life in the US. He's as much American as he is from any other country.

Also, people criticized Spain for rushing Serge Ibaka's citizenship do he could join their front line to combat Team USA. And, of course, who can forget the immortal Andray Blatche on the Philippines national team? The rubber stamped that one right through.
