More so speaking to folks calling it a “gauntlet” or whatever. They just have a bigger middle class of average-to-above average teams. The way it gets talked about sometimes though you’d think everyone is incredible. Is it really overrated though? I think the West has more been touted for being deep with good teams than for having a lot of really great teams, which is accurate.
And the West overall is still numerically and eye test better than the East. (Currently 138 - 122 West over East in head-to-head match-ups this season).
And then there's also the matter of a number of West teams having stars out due to injury.
But the East had a good night last night though.
East has their share of injuries too. Zingus just played his first game. Paolo has missed 3/4 of the season. Heat have had a bunch of guys in and out. Middleton hasn’t played yet. Philly whole team is injured.
Lots of basketball left to be played.
