The Official NBA Season Thread: I’m like Jayson Tatum in the Olympics I'm not playing

It’s really that simple. Dude got like 50 games under his belt since 2019. Including College/NBA.

Sooo far off a timeline of a competing team.

Like dropping a HS graduate into a PHD program.

a lot of folks already writing the kid off. he’ll be fine. he’s played 50 games across three seasons. last time he saw consistent minutes, the warriors were a play-in team, there was no klay, and 2/3rds of the roster was different. he wasn’t going to be a plug and play center this year just because he’s been around kerr’s system.

can barely say we’re seeing his growing pains given how little he’s played this year. give him all the burn he can get in the g-league and let him work on his hands.

Idk if he’ll be fine. Potential is there, and he’ll get better with reps…but he’s even far away from the type of prospect he’d projected to be. Bigs take time…but it’s clear to me that he’s never learned to play basketball. If you go back and read his high school journey and brief stint at Memphis, all of this is a pattern. The Isiah Stewart dominating him, in matchups is a a real thing too. He been dogging wiseman since they were school boys.

Very, very well said. Impressed by JB

People were really attacking him for defending Kyrie when like he said it’s his job as VP of the players Union to defend the players
