Exactly. In a previous CBA the Celtics would just be incentivized to overpay because he’s valuable to them tbhWell he can blame himself
Tatum isn’t even in his prime years yet. I think it’s reasonable to keep riding it out with these guys a few more years.I wouldnt call either of them soft.
But idk how many times you can run it back. How much better are you really going to get?
They were absolutely going to give him a good contract under previous CBA. Zero reason not to. Under new one though you just can’t afford to give your 6th/7th guy that kind of money.Exactly. In a previous CBA the Celtics would just be incentivized to overpay because he’s valuable to them tbh
Josh Smart dribbles worse than JaylenI think Caleb Martin is turning into my favorite role player in the league.
He's like a Josh Hart with a jumpshot. Dude is a 20 mill/year player
Because he works for the CelticsOne “take” I have is IDK why B Sox thinks it is ridiculous that folks are questioning the idea of paying Jaylen Brown $59MM annually especially with this new CBA kicking in that will be limiting If you are Boston you have to at least see what else you could get for him. A deal may not be worth it but you absolutely have to check the temperature of the marketplace.

So then, if you’re that kind of role player, you basically have to just pray the money the few under-cap teams have doesn’t dry up before they get to you.
a facilitator gets guys like them high percentage shots instead of iso ballAgain I don’t know what a point guard does for them. A facilitator is still going to have the two guys taking turns because they don’t create shots for each other.
Tatum is still 19 right?Tatum isn’t even in his prime years yet. I think it’s reasonable to keep riding it out with these guys a few more years.
Putting it into perspective, Doc has coached 36 more playoff games and 9 years more than him
