The Official NBA Season Thread: I’m like Jayson Tatum in the Olympics I'm not playing

guys who don't have super high top end speed but are still really shifty tend to draw a ton of fouls.

they are close enough to to foul, so it's more tempting to reach.

this is why changing the rules doesn't really hurt SGA's efficiency.
or playing fiba basketball, doesn't hurt him.

IT hurt his hip and was cooked ever since. You also get your explosiveness from your hips. Idk if Chet will be the same

im not a doctor, but isn't fracture a lot different than the soft tissue hip injury IT had?

im not sure if theres the same risk of loss of explosiveness.

I don't think anything the Cavs do in the regular season will convince anyone.

The fundamental question is; will the two big lineups work in the playoffs?

can't answer that in november.

"Leaked audio" always cracks me up. Like he has the NBA's mics tapped

Send this to whomever in the media that says KD is not a leader.

On a side note, all the grunting and yelling when he misses or is stripped of the ball is ridiculous.

Same but the muscles around those hip could also be affected. Being a 200lbs c is as much as an anomaly as a 5’9 pg.

I asked ChetGPT

Yes, a broken bone can cause muscle atrophy, and muscle atrophy can also lead to bone loss:

I still don't like the shot selection of all these Wemby 3s, but it's really fun to see them go in. Curry-esque excitement for different reasons. The audacity.

IT is also like 5'8 and limited even pre injury. If Chet at 7'1 with a 7'4 wingspan even lost athleticism, let's say max vert went from 30 to 26 inches for the sake of greatly oversimplifying it, we're good. Might have a Steph Curry thing where he takes less than the max, then mysteriously never gets injured again. For muscle los give him some EAAs and HMB. How still does he have to be during the 10 weeks? Crutches? bed ridden? I heard it described as the iliac wing is the part of the upper hip bone you can feel protruding through. What do you use that muscle for? Salsa and cha cha slide and wobble at family reunions will be affected. Hooping will not

These dudes be gaining 25 lbs from the weight room and in 2 months go back to playing 82 games and running and jumping like they were before. I think thats where a lot of these non contact injuries are coming from. Not all of them of course

Bruce brown is from Boston. Why does he dress like this?
Boston dudes was never known for getting fly :lol

Stern ain’t want dudes rocking du rags and free size white tees so it eventually turned into what we got now :lol …He got what he wanted, at least dudes ain’t looking like “thugs” to middle America which is what the dress code was about in the 1st place

Wemby needs to go practice a hooks shot, or stop with all the dribbling.

Unless he's gunna become a Dirk level shooter, he's gotta chill with all that stuff.

And tbh Dirk didn't dribble that much, you shouldn't have to when you are that tall.
all that 7'4 dribbling looks cool on instagram reels, but like you don't get extra points for it.

At the same age Dirk was dribbling though. Not fancy dribbling but he put the ball on the ground.

IT had a cartilage tear. They can’t even pinpoint exactly when he got hurt happened because you don’t feel any pain for a while. It’s possible he was playing on it for months. Then he was misdiagnosed with a “bone bruise” and suited up in the playoffs :{

Versus Chet with a straight up bone fracture, stopped playing immediately.

He should be completely fine but we’re probably not gonna see him until after the all-star game.

Maybe even March then you just hope he can get in shape.

Cavs look great. Kenny is gonna get the most out of the roster but there’s still some limitations.

The backcourt is tiny defensively and their best lineup has two dudes who don’t shoot 3s at volume.

So two small guards & average/below average 3 point volume, I don’t know how you’d expect them to get more than 1 game off Boston.

Garland also doesn’t draw any fouls, and doesn’t get to the rim. I don’t expect him to be consistent in the playoffs at all.

Pelicans got whatever the Grizzlies had last season, yeesh.

pelicans bout to fleece the southbay lakers for JHS
