The Official NBA Season Thread: I’m like Jayson Tatum in the Olympics I'm not playing

Definitely makes the case for more people thinking the Celtics would win.

Just interested to understand what you think matters in this scenario, because so far the majority of bets and money doesn’t matter to you, people that talk on tv about the sport don’t matter to you, people that write about the sport for a living don’t matter to you, people on here don’t matter to you, people on a heavily traveled public forum dedicated to basketball don’t matter to you.

I’m honestly interested.
I would need to see the Vegas lines, and not people just taking a swing bet. Plus common sense man, we all know ON HERE that the Mavericks were not winning that series.

I just hate(d) the Cs.
Nets' Kyrie Irving on stomping Celtics' 'Lucky,' playing at ...

It definitely wasn’t all people. And that excludes Lakers fans or whoever just didn’t want Boston to win

Some of the folks whose opinions you’d probably respect on here were picking Dallas with actual reasoning. If only we had a functioning Search function

The oddsmakers who use data and trends to create the lines are the people you should pay attention to when you're trying to differentiate underdogs/favorites.

Game 1: Celtics (-6.5) - Boston covered 107-89
Game 2: Celtics (-7.0) - Push, Celtics won 105-98
Game 3: Mavericks (-1.5) - Celtics covered 106-99
Game 4: Mavericks (-1.5) - Mavericks covered 122-84
Game 5: Celtics (-6.5) - Celtics covered 106-88

Celtics were clear favorites when playing at home while the Mavs were very slight favorites in their gym. That is an indicator that the games in Dallas were virtual toss ups. In the eyes of the oddsmakers that series was Celtics as the convincing favorites.

Gonna be strange to see Klay matched up on Steph. Can’t wait to see the tribute video they do for klay, hell, the one they did for JP had me emotional

I wouldn't go as far as to say Zion is a bust.....

but he hasn't lived up to the hype/expectations/potential so far.

Not really his fault either, he's is a really good player....

Just not the second coming alot of people were projecting.
