That's fair but that's my general point. He's somewhere between Jalen Green and Shai, not the top five player that people have been pushing him to be.
Once again, I'm an Ant fan, I see the potential, but he hasn't at all developed the ability to read defenses and run offense in the way Booker/Shai have that helped them elevate their game from a similar spot imo.
And meanwhile, he's been anointed as "Next Up", "Young MJ", and it just needs to slow down. He's a great young player but he has a huge hole in his game that he hasn't really developed at all since coming into the league imo, and that's where my concern comes in.
He's going to have a bigger microscope on him this year, the weight of expectations are different and he'll have to get used to really being the man and bearing that brunt. Which is a good thing and hopefully can get him to take the next step.

Melo/Gelo just have always seemed a couple chromosomes short of complete. Even funnier to hear them talk the way they do and then realize they're from Chino Hills (The Staten Island of LA).

I mean you can say the same thing about shai, he’s just unguardable in 1 on 1. The Mavs were content with him scoring 30 because they were going to live with the 2s.
Ant has work to do but he gets better every playoff. I just don’t want to see anyone downplay his game because of his personality. But you see when he got it going you had to tilt the entire defense to him. His vision can improve though.

During the peak of this nonsense I was wondering why people would even put that type of pressure on ANYONE considering how NOBODY has ever lived up to that type of label. Especially considering dude hadn't accomplished much at the time. I didn't get it then. I don't get it. I will never get it.
