The Official NBA Season Thread: I’m like Jayson Tatum in the Olympics I'm not playing

The Pippen 4s are on the short list of my favorite shoes to have played in. Very good on-court.
Totally agree, one of the first shoes that I actually felt the zoom air working in the forefoot. Just hate when they retro shoes that were responsive back in the day, they go the NSW (Nike Sports Wear) route and just throw a non-responsive air bag in them. For the purpose of cutting cost and being cheap.
90s nba players used to be lean and muscular af.
Players like Pip and Mike worked with Tim Grover who was well ahead of the curve as far as lean and muscular. He even had Barkley lean and muscular at one point. I have his first training book from the 90's and this is all he stresses on. His newer book has the same principles but is much more advanced. Like Jalen Rose says all the time, players from today train, back in the 90's they worked out/lifted weights.
Bron and Malone are both 6'8 -270 and body types are totally different. Visual difference between a player who trains and one that works out.

Trippin. Spo made 2 finals appearances. Beat ya'll in both runs. His line-ups, adjustments, plays all on point.

They win a chip and suddenly they're above everyone.

Boston fans should be happy because now Tatum may actually play in the next olympics.

Philly Depth Chart:

I wouldn't say it's the deepest team, but there's a good balance of top level talent, veteran experience, and young players with potential.

The pressing questions are:
  • Can Embiid have a healthy playoff run
  • What will Payoff P look like as a 3rd option
  • How washed will Kyle Lowry be
  • Is Maxey's next evolution playmaking
Other questions that are less pressing are:
  • What will McCain look like (not expecting much early in the season)
  • Will we see an improved Ricky Council?
  • Will we see a new version of Yabusele (seems to have vastly improved from his Boston days)
All in all, I am excited to watch this team this year.

We’ve cooked the Boston Celtics for a decade plus now. So I understand why the Celtics fans are always in their feelings about Erik Spoelstra.

As for the Knicks fans, they’ve never experienced actual winning in their lifetime, so I also understand why they’re always in their feelings.

We're still doing the "Spo" thing in big 2024?

Runs his guys into the ground. Doesn't allow Bamonte to show his full game.

Luck merchant.

How did he run them into the ground when they made 2 finals appearances in 3 years? You can't make it that deep while being ran into the ground. They didn't lose because they was tired.

They didn't even have the best rosters in the east, they played harder and smarter than everybody else which is coaching.

Filipino Doc and that 15-year-old championship still fooling people I see
