The Official NBA Season Thread: I’m like Jayson Tatum in the Olympics I'm not playing

I’m still puzzled as to why 3-on-3 basketball is even its own Olympic sport.

Is it really big in certain countries or something?

I don't know if it's "big" but Fiba's been running 3x3 tournaments in the Middle East. It's not exactly organic, but there are a lot of basketball fans over there with no real league to call their own.

Hopefully we actually take it seriously in 2028 and send a fun group. Both men’s and women’s.

Unfortunately, people these days like to change the definitions of words to suit their own person agendas.

Instead of GOAT, just call the dude your favorite player.
Language evolves all the time and it shouldn't bother me, but this generation uses goat like a word to mean "favorite" instead of the acronym Greatest Of All Time. Use another word.

Yes. Some changes are too much, and GOAT meaning “favorite” is one of them.

And “bro” being completely de-gendered.

And “literally” literally now meaning “not literally”

I come in peace but what do you mean by it's not organic?

I've seen every team play at least once in the Olympics so far. Is this field the best we've ever seen for basketball? It has to be. Germany is obviously a medal contender.
