The Official NBA post.

I hope Lue isn't starting ahead of Anthony Johnson, let dude have some shine.

For those that didn't know, Lue was traded for Keith Bogans.

Won't matter.

How many first rounders the Thunder have next season? 3 is it?

So they have 3 real solid looking stars right now, and 3 decent picks coming up, including what could be a top 3-5 pick? Portland fans, should the Thunderstart counting their trophies now and planning the parade route?
Magic trade Bogans, cash considerations for Lue
MILWAUKEE (AP)-The Orlando Magic and Milwaukee Bucks each had what the other needed-a role player who could provide depth at key positions in their injury-plagued backcourts.

Orlando traded shooting guard Keith Bogans to Milwaukee for point guard Tyronn Lue on Thursday after the Southeast Division-leading Magic lost All-Star Jameer Nelson to a serious shoulder injury.

Milwaukee, which also got cash in the deal, is without top scorer Michael Redd for the rest of the season after he tore ligaments in his left knee in a win against Sacramento on Jan. 24.

"Tyronn is a veteran point guard who fits in well with our style of play," Magic general manager Otis Smith said in a statement. "He shoots well from 3-point range and adds needed depth at that position."

The Bucks are also missing center Andrew Bogut for eight weeks with a stress fracture in his back. Even with the injuries, Milwaukee remains tied for eighth in the Eastern Conference.

General manager John Hammond quickly pointed out that Bogans isn't replacing Redd, but that he can earn significant minutes in the role Redd vacated.

b

"He fills a need for us," Hammond said. "They have a need there with Jameer out right now to have Ty help them some at the point guard spot. We have a need here with Keith with Michael being out."

Nelson tore the labrum in his right shoulder in Orlando's 105-95 loss to the Mavericks on Monday night. He is deciding over the next few weeks whether to have season-ending surgery or hold off and attempt rehabilitation.

Lue has played 30 games this season for Milwaukee, averaging 4.7 points and 1.5 assists while sitting on the bench behind Luke Ridnour and Ramon Sessions.

Lue, an 11-year veteran of six teams, played 76 games in his first stint with the Magic in 2003-04 and will help backup point guard Anthony Johnson.

Johnson played well in his new role replacing Nelson, at least for a night. He had a season-high 25 points in the Magic's 125-96 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.

But the Magic (37-11) will face tougher competition than the Clippers, and a steady backup point guard should help them contend with Boston and Cleveland in the Eastern Conference.

The Magic used several combinations of point guards against the Clippers, including Johnson, shooting guards Courtney Lee and J.J. Redick and 6-10 forward Hedo Turkoglu.

Lue will help settle the rotation.

"He was fantastic," Bucks coach Scott Skiles said of Lue. "I know ultimately he wants to coach when he's done playing. I think he'd be an excellent coach. I was very fond of him."

Bogans, expected to join Milwaukee on Friday, has played 36 games, including 15 starts, this season for Orlando and is averaging 5.3 points and 3.1 rebounds.

He's bound to get more playing time in Milwaukee while the Bucks try to find a way to win without Redd or Bogut and keep their postseason hopes afloat.

"He has size, he can make the corner 3, he's an athletic, wing-defending type player, which we need in our division, so we'll see," Skiles said.

Just kidding, but seriously, Juice is the Future.

Depending on CP's groin D Will making a statement to Stern that he should be at the show...he got fouled when he was arguing and got the T, he should havebeen on the line shooting 3.

The Lakers played great and the only chance of a foul on the last play was if it was on the floor, Allen was not touched in the air or in the motion ofshooting

Chris has already said he's playing

Thats actually good news anyways, its not fun to see the best player on a team go down and have the Hornets looking like they were looking vs Chicago

Deron will get there eventually I'm sure, injury slowed him down this year
Mavericks' Terry out with broken bone in his hand
DALLAS (AP)-Dallas Mavericks sixth man Jason Terry sustained a broken bone in his left hand in the first half and missed the rest of Saturday night's game against the Chicago Bulls.

Terry, who entered the game as the team's second-leading scorer with an average of 20.2 points, took the final shot of the first half, an unsuccessful 41-foot heave.

He was ruled out of the game at halftime after X-rays revealed the break, finishing with eight points and four assists in 16 minutes.

Terry told Mavericks officials he wasn't sure when the break occurred.

His condition will be evaluated on Sunday.
NBA's Celtics coach fined for criticizing officials
BOSTON, Massachusetts (AFP) - Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers was fined by the National Basketball Associaiton on Saturday for "verbal abuse of game officials," the Boston Globe reported.

The punishment will reportedly will cost Rivers 15,000 dollars.

Rivers was critical of the officiating in Boston's 110-109 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.

He said he believed officials made a mistake on the Celtics' final play, when Ray Allen missed a three-point attempt while being closely marked by Derek Fisher.

"I thought it was a hand check, I did," Rivers said after the game. "But the officials say that they don't call the game different from the first quarter to the end of the game. And if that's true, then Ray should've been on the free-throw line."

Rivers also criticized the way the referees handled the second half, saying they allowed "chippiness" on both sides to become "out of control."

If the Thunder wanted to go big, they could have Green or KD @ SG, the other @ SF, and Blake @ PF, running with Westbrook, that team would be ahell of a lot of fun to watch, get a Haslem-esque Center while getting rid of Wilcox and I think that the Thunder are in good shape. I think Thabeet would bebetter for the team though... The main thing is they need someone who is NBA-ready. Green and KD have both proved they are, but they CAN'T sit aroundwaiting for the rest of their young talent to develop, they have to try and expose the talents of KD & Green together while they are. I really don'tthink the Thunder can go wrong this draft though (not saying that they have), there's so many options for them regardless of how far they fall... Harden,Blake, Thabeet, Jrue, Mullens?, Rubio if he comes out, lots of pieces they could use that are in this upcoming draft. Not only this, but they own the SAS andDenver Nuggets pick, they could package one of those and a 2nd rounder to move up and possibly move up and get the complimentary piece to theirl lottery pick.Stephen Curry and Blake Griffin?

Forget that, I want them in position to get Blake Griffin... Everybody talkin about players not wanting to go/stay there and what not, Blake Griffin would playhis whole career there...

They already tried KD at SG earlier this year and while he was good, he's much better at SF.

The Mavericks will certainly miss their high-scoring sixth man.

"He almost had tears in his eyes, that's how much he cares," Dirk Nowitzki said of Terry. "We told him we got this one for him and we would hold down the fort. He's the best sixth man in the league and we'll miss him dearly."

Sucks for them.
Dallas was 5-1 in their last 6 games too...

They almost gotta make some kinda trade now...

Either that, or Josh Howard finally pulls his head outta his @*% and starts playing good basketball...
