Knicks Finalize Trade
The tradesending Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins to the Clippers for Cuttino Mobley and Tim Thomas is now final.

There was a last-minute concern about the physical health of Cuttino Mobley that jeopardized completion of the deal.

But the Knicks have now signed off on the trade and Mobley and Thomas will be in uniform on Tuesday when the Knicks host LeBron Jamesand the Cavaliers at Madison Square Garden.

The trade gives the Clippers the inside scoring threat the team has sought since losing Elton Brand in free-agency.

The deal gives the Knicks sizable salary cap room, perhaps enough for two maximum contract slots, for the summer of 2010 when severalNBA stars will be available on the free-agent market.

Dallas is on a 4 game winning streak...

San Antonio now has Ginobli back.
All they need to do is stay within striking distance until TP gets back in there.

Oh yea, since we've had 249823 topics about LeBron already, I just figured I'll keep this in here.

The Cavs have a legit shot at going to the Finals.
Factor in the fact that they still have Wally Worlds as HUGE trade bait, why would LeBron want to leave?

If LeBron played the rest of his career as a Cav and won multiple titles,
wouldn't he be a bigger star+have more money than if he played in NYK for the rest of his years and didn't win a chip?

Granted, I can't predict the future.
Throw LeBron on any team in the East and he'd take said team to at least the 2nd round of the playoffs, no problem.
Yeah, NY can sign 2 max contracts in 2010... but so can Cleveland(with 1 being Bron)

All I'm saying is, if he has all the buildings blocks in place to win a chip NOW, why would he leave that?
At the end of the day, playing in a huge market like Chi-Town didn't make Jordan so popular, it was the fact that he was a 6 time champion.

What if the Cavs go to the finals in 09, and they lose?
You think LeBron's just going to leave them?

what do the cavs have in place for the 2010-2011 season and beyond?

Mo? role players? 35 year old big men....they got a lot of questions for their roster going forward.

It's safe to say the Knicks have better young pieces at this point to go beyond 2010. Cavs need to win NOW.

If nothing changed between now and 2010, we would have approx. $27 million in cap space AFTER signing Lebron to a max contract. We would also still have Mo Will, Delonte, JJ, Gibson, andDarnell under contract. There's a chance we might have another person too, like whoever we trade for (Wally's expiring), or Andy, and you can subtracttheir salary from that number.

Who we WON'T have then (unless we resign them using the MLE or BAE later) is Z, Ben, and maybe not Andy.

We'll still have a boatload more than the Knicks that summer, even before free agency starts.

Hope that clears some stuff up.

I forgot why I had you on ignore for the longest....

The Cavs will also have max money after LeBron. Most likely scenario is to get Bosh (Since Z & Ben will be applying for AARP)

Jeff Phelps: "Your fans on a daily basis think about the future of LBJ in this organization. Do you think about that on a daily basis?"
Dan Gilbert: "Yeah. I sure do. But if I was in Miami, and if I was Toronto, and if I was Denver, I'd be really worried about the Cleveland Cavaliers' cap space in the summer of 2010, because we're coming after their guys."

and what makes you think that Lebron passing every other team to stay in Cleveland AND Bosh passing up every other team to settle Clevelandare likely at all?

you need to wake up from your dream, honestly bruh.

You think Bosh or Amare wouldn't go to Cleveland if LeBron had resigned there?

Rumors of a Jason Richardson for Chris Kaman trade on various sites (hoopsworld, rotoworld, yahoo sports)... nothing concrete and DON'T KILL THEFREAKIN' MESSENGER. I'll update if I find anything out.

Watching the Mavericks is a ticket for high blood pressure.

LSKJKEWLRJLSKDJKLSERJ KIDDS NOT WASHED UP.

Terry and Kidd with defense late in the fourth FTW. Kidd with two three's to seal the game up...

It's too bad we play the Lakers next, I was really enjoying our winning streak.

I really don't see us winning..

1. It's nationally televised
2. It's at LA
3. Kobe's having an off night tonight, that means he's going to kill on Friday.
4. We may not have Josh Howard, if we don't, there's slim-to-none chance we win.
