More than likely this is what the roster will look like. You have the original 7 from MK1 and a few from MK2. Only characters missing from MK2 is Shang Tsung and Baraka. We also know that the first DLC will be Jason and there's also another guest character. Also two classic characters will be in the upcoming DLC pack which I believe will be Fujin and Baraka. I have a gut feeling that the big bad will be Reiko. He always wanted to be the Emperor of Outworld.

I'm thinking he'll be part of the story but not playable. His morph move is thing but now is kinda out of the question. His moveset from 9 can be ported over to someone else
