Battery for me on my 2011 15 MBP seems terrible as well.

I've done the calibration and it still doesn't seem right.

Also for the rest of you. My battery cap is at %94 and it's not even a year old and the battery dies so quickly. Is this under warranty and if so how do I go about getting it changed just go in an say !$% is this?

can i get a link to this ram?

Here's the link. But the sweetness of the deal was the $10 rebate that was available up until Sunday when it expired. Still not a bad deal if looking for ram.

EDIT: Rebate just renewed itself for another month, I suggest you grab it.
EDITx2: That link is for the newest model of MBP's the older ones take the same chip which is also on the same deal but its a 1066 instead of the listed 1133

What's going on NT. I really don't have the time to check this whole thread for answers, so if anyone can help me out i'll really appreciate it. Right now I have an old Macbook from late 2007, still runs alright but it's cracking up and it's slowing down on me. I'm going back to college this September and I'm thinking about upgrading to the new Pros. I'm really considering getting an iPad 2 for school though. Is it even practical? Is there anybody that uses an iPad for school on this board and how did that work out for you? Or am I just better off upgrading to a new Macbook Pro?

Man ever since installing Lion my wifi has been shotty and unreliable, have to reset my router almost everyday. Get it the !*%+ together apple, lion has been giving various issues to many users.

^^^For weak! I have to turn off my computer at least 3-5 times a day. Any word on a Lion online update in the future?

Kind of glad I haven't taken the plunge. Any way for you guys to downgrade?

For real, I've heard so many negatives and not one positive. What was the inventive to upgrade for most of you if you don't mind me asking? I mean I want newest stuff like anyone else but other than that what's the pros of it I'm curious to see if I want to upgrade.

I have to say that I'm happy with how Lion has been working so far. Had problems with receiving a proper IP-adress before and that has been happening a little less often now.

enjoying lion so far. trying to figure out how to install it on my macbook thats on 10.5.8. i have the 10.6.X install disc but the disc drive on the macbook is busted. trying to install remotely from my iMac but having issues...anyone have any recommendations? right now i'm just getting a .dmg of the install disc, putting it on an external HD and gonna try installing from there on the macbook..

The new MBA are quite nice, especially if you go with the i7.  i7 chip + solid state drive makes everything super snappy.
On another note, has anyone heard anything regarding the patent that apple filed recently?  Flat surface, touch-sensitive, keyless keyboard.  Supposedly for the 2012 MBP redesign

I got it for free because of the Up to Date Program, and i didn't want to have to pay $30 down the line due to me not upgrading in the given time period, So i took the plunge.

I've been having some video plug in errors with youtube and vimeo but the videos just normally don't show up at all. I am not sure if this is a Lion issue or not but it never did this before.

yea its crazy. ive had lion for about a week now and it just started doing this when i installed ilife11. i hope someone can help us.

Mr Fongstarr i found a solution

Reboot into safe mode, hold shift during boot (takes a while but eventually it will load)
Logged in
Opened iTunes (no sound, but it opened at least for me)
Closed iTunes
Removed contents of /private/var/db/dyld
Removed contents of /Library/Caches (The Library folder at your drive root, not in your user/home folder)
Reboot

i would like to see that, but only if its angled properly, cause on a flat surface i think it would suck

My charger for my Macbook Pro 13" went out. It's still under a years warranty, what can I do now to get a new charger? Since I'm under warranty would Apple be able to send me a new charger?

do you need it as an actual program for your own purposes, or just to visit IE only sites? because you can download extensions for FF/Chrome that let you trick sites into thinking youre using IE, or even use Developer options in Safari to do basically the same thing. If you need the program itself, you'll have to run a windows partition/virtual desktop
