If you do an upper that isn't wolf grey, you have to do a white or a colored sole. 

The colored sole can save the shoe.

Those purple soles are nice fellas.

Yea, there get in supper stingy with codes....but at the same time the computer renderings look nothing like we expected (certain colors, midsole). It's primarily there fault. They tried saying I couldn't get my OG code back because I only returned one of the two pairs I ordered. So I just emailed saying I want a return shipping label for my worn pair...makes zero sense for them to require me to return both to get my code to make an a black and gold pair.

I was on the fence with keeping them or not before they even got here. So this way I can wear them/play in them for 3 weeks and if I like them enough, keep them. If not I can just return the new pair when it comes in
 
I know, I know far from original but I wanted something clean. I really dig the gum outsole and the silver specs on the "white"midsole. I've had these for a little over a week now and they're incredibly comfortable, I went one size up though. If you're on the fence I would definitely recommend picking up a pair especially if you have gift cards or discount, and highly recommend the gray upper (and from what I've seen black also looks very nice) and now I'm thinking about doing in all black upper/gold check with a solid white outsole/white bubble. Just really not feeling the six week wait though. Also these might be the most comfy sneaks I have EVER worn.

not sure how you guys are settling for that ashy black/dark grey midsole. completely throws off the shoe for me. to each his own but $245 shoe though :rolleyes

Agree. And the white is off too so the only midsole I like is the purple one.
 
What does the solid purple upper look like? I've seen a lot of the mismatch but I know the rendering is usually brighter.

Bonus points if it's on top of the purple outsole
