Went Grey Medial on my Chaos pair. I knew the only one not painted is Grey. Would have been great if could've had option of changing both swoosh. the medial side Grey FK and purple swoosh would have been

Crazy ordered within first 2 hrs and again will be one of the last to get mine.

I have a feeling those early pairs are just quick nikeid samples that haven't gone through quality control & aren't final consumer pairs. Of course, this is just speculation, but I do think (& hope) the black weave will look closer to the photo above.

You are greatly over thinking it. Since the X elite hit iD the only base color to look good has been grey. The white part of black/white asym looked fine but the black has always been ashy. To think it would even be comparable to HTM is ridiculous and will not be the case.

The HTM's do not have some superior, high quality flyknit. The materials have the same look and feel as all the GR Kobe 10 Elite Lows. You get HTM stitched on the back and aglets.

my HTM Sharks absolutely dump on the ID sharks I had made when they first hit iD. They aren't even in the same ballpark as far as FK goes on the black side. You got ashy black with the ID and that isn't the case with HTM. It's more than just 3 letters on the back.

I made a very similar pair with grey, not knowing grey was the best color or the one that gets sprayed on, I just choose it cuz I thought grey looked best.   Hope it turns out well.

Thanks for that comparison. I never had the HTMs but i had the Shark IDs and I remember being a bit disappointed with the quality.

I guess the black fk will look a bit better in combination with the black midsole and a darker outsole

I've got Rose Gold Elite Highs, Mambacurials, Shark HTM, Arrowhead HTM and Race Car HTM...blacks are different on all of em, but HTM's are a step above the normal elite releases - there's no question.  When the MC ID's come in, I'll post some family shots for comparison.

Man those Shark HTMs compared to the IDs are night and day as far as black flyknit is concerned :x
Glad I went with the grey color on the medial side, surprised Nike is just painting the flyknit and doing a pretty bad job at it too

I talked to a rep yesterday about not receiving the start email, she said they are in progress and the emails have been sent even though I hadn't received anything since I placed the order the night before set release.

The transition from MC to the wolf grey flyknit looks good. I built a pair exactly as the pics above but went with the grey outsole.
