Big Head Modes came in the other day. Really nice pair in terms of quality/craftsmanship and overall theme.
Like the Donkey Kongs, they fit pretty tight because of the extra padding in the tongue. Could probably go up half a size if you don't mind some wiggle room in the toes.

I believe you’ll be ok. I went .5 down because for AM1’s, they fit me perfectly. But I should’ve went TTS.

I just tried them on with nike socks, these shoes are insanely tight and squeezing my foot! If these don’t break in there’s no way I can wear these lol maybe I’ll just not wear Nike socks or something. First pair of AM1s in a long time and I swore they ran tts, must be this huge tongue

Apparently I’ve got the donkey kongs on the way. Forgot I had a bid out there on StockX. Went .5 size up to account for that fat tongue. Now to find a good DK tee to match.

I feel like 2025 has been a pretty weak year for AM1's. A couple OK woman's releases and ID's were kinda weak as well.

Been a solid run for GRs the past few years, especially on discount. Collab wise, it’s been so-so in 2025. The premium goods drop was dope but not attainable for most of us. The .swoosh/poly releases, imma be honest, i liked them but had idea how to even get access to their releases and nothing i’d want to pay resale for.
Feel like the ‘21/‘22 releases of waves, kasinas, and concpts, followed up by the crepe, big bubbles, and NBY really spoiled me. In hindsight that feels like a generational run that’s hard to top. I haven’t really cared for many recent AM1s besides the chlorophylls and Olympics

Took out the insole and they’re…tolerable. Kinda relieved nonetheless.

The thought of having to rock these without the insole is driving me completely nuts. The resell on these are just retail, so I think I may have to just buy a bigger 12.5 or 13 and just give these to my brother. What a disappointment. I was thinking about buying the DKs before they came in, thank goodness I didn’t

If only we had the NBY options that are available for the Internationalist. All suede and in versatile colors such as midnight navy, dark green, brown, purple. Enough colors to make multiple great pairs of AM1s.
The AM90 and Huarache NBY also have these kind of colors. I don't understand why they have the materials and colors available for other models but not for the AM1.
Oh well... Thank the wonderful staff at Nike HQ for allowing AM1 fans to at least have flowers on the swoosh...
Having said that, I'm still glad that Nike is offering the NBY program. Hopefully better options next year though.

Are they neoprene around mudguard or vamp? That material always gives me this issue

NBY has been pretty weak this year, but I managed to make two that I can work with

Mudguard is more satin-like. The vamp is like their engineered mesh.
