Nah, it was 2017. Air Max Day had the Atmos elephant print and both the red and the royal OGs. Then restock pairs of red and royal OGs later in the year, plus obsidians (I think aqua was maybe the same time or early 2018 ). And you had the Pinnacles before Air Max Day. Great year.

I'm curious as to whether Nike's gotten good feedback with these new Air units they've been using since the Air Max 270s and are finally "resto-modding" these older Air Max 1s with the big bubbles, because now the Air [Max] 180s are rumored to get the same treatment.

For real, these shoes need updated Air units 100000%. Either that and/or it's the competitive pressure.

I actually bought a 40 pack of 120 cm laces from Amazon. In the UK it was around £10. Excellent value especially as I was buying three pairs of laces from Outsole.nl for the same price.

I'd say more TTS. I prefer the patta & Kasinas fit to the pecans and crepes. The inside of the kasinas is thinner and not as padded as the others so that's probably where the little extra room is coming from. I'd still go TTS unless you size down for the pattas also. Only Patta that fits me a little tighter, but still not as tight as the crepes and pecans, are the monarches. Still very comfortable though.

Problem I have is if I go half size up in the pecans or crepes they'd be too long. I'd have close to a thumbs width at the end of shoe and probably have to tie them to tight to not cause heel slippage.

Surprised there aren't leaked production models from the factory. Most shoes are produced months before release date.

Most likely production started in October/November

Would be nice to see a leak or two. We have seen the all black samples as well as the reveal pics when the big bubble was introduced. As long as they’re close to the original reveal from last year, we’re golden. Plus, leaks for AMD tend to not come out until close to release day. Whatever happens, leaks or not, IM EXCITED for these! Most likely my number one anticipated sneaker for this year
