I'm surprised by the lukewarm reception to the DKs in this thread. I know most of us here grew up in that era, so I thought they would be a hit. Personally I think they look great.

I purchased a pair of patta chlorophylls on stockx but returned them because the right shoe was just too tight above the toe box. Unbearable. The left shoe fit fine however. I returned them to stockx and bought another pair with the credit. Same exact thing, the left shoe fits fine but the right shoe is still very tight above the toe box. I removed the insole and the shoe feels fine. Has anyone worn AM1s without an insole? I know its a thing some people did with certain Yeezy models but I've never worn a shoe without any insole. Or are there ultra thin insoles?

Same thing just happened to me. I bought a shoe stretcher to try and get some extra room in that right shoe.

I've tried the no insole thing in my younger days and it hurt like hell. There is no way I can do it now in my mid 30s.

My pair of Chlorophylls broke in perfectly after the first wear. Sucks you had to experience that.

I don't plan to wear them very often but they are just not wearable as is. I'll try the shoe tree to hopefully stretch them a bit and hope that they break in. The materials on the pattas definitely feel very stiff compared to other AM1s. And for those thinking of going up half a size, that isn't the solution because a longer shoe isn't a good fit either.

I just got a pair in from stockx last week also. your post got me spooked so I took them out to check. seems like my right shoe toebox was made lower/tighter too. fortunately they fit ok on foot.
