I'm a baseball fan. I don't wear aj1 but I have the Jeter highs. Hell I have lot of shoes I don't plan on ever wearing. I don't like the bb but I like the theme of the shoe. I'd much prefer it was an 87. Tbh I only got a pair for me bc a friend asked for help so I figured I'd get myself a pair if was going to the shop.

Inspired by one of my first AF1 purchases. I think I used my lunch money to purchase the OG on clearance LOL. I was so accustomed to seeing AF1s with leather toe boxes/vamps, so creases would be inevitable. The colorway is what struck me initially, of course... then I saw the toe box/vamp was MESH on both the colorways. I had to give them a shot! Years later, they eventually became my daily's because of how comfy the mesh felt. This design is a nod to one of my favorite AF1s.

Got in 4 pairs of my first order, which was 8 pairs. On one pair they put metallic silver mudguard instead of the gold. Pretty disappointed. Not sure about the other 3 yet until I see the other 4. Def returning that 1 so far. Dont want to keep all other 7 unless I really like them

Thanks! Yeah, I held off on buying them until I found a nice dark wash pair. The right shoe's toebox is mostly that wash, as well. Now I just need a pair of Far Outs since they're available below retail.

I’m definitely not an Air Max 1 connoisseur…only own two pairs. But I think the Crepe Hemps are one of the most slept on sneakers in a few years.

Price was way too high out the gate and that hurt them imo.

I can easily see them being one of those shoes that resell for big money somewhere down the road.

Yes, supposedly - and according to inside sources they will be a true 1:1 retro (not some differently designed 'homage' type thing like those 'Urawa' and 'KRSS' pairs we saw recently). An actual retro, similar to the upcoming 'Grand Piano' (Phantaci) retro.

Yea thats funny, custom NBYs are F&F now? They pushed the tounge tag right up to the piping. You can see the outline of the nike tag underneath.

I’ve been searching for a while for donor soles for my safaris, and my method has been to go to eBay, search for “nike air max 1” and then filter by your shoe size. Then sort by lowest to highest and just start scrolling.

DecepticonRumble , I will first say they’re GREAT to work with both by email and in the design session (think we took an hour in January, and it was one of the cooler things I’ve done with sneakers). I always wanted to do a bespoke at 21M but timing never worked for NY trip. I felt their charge for donor sole of maybe 200€ was wild so I supplied them with the pink cord pair that was heavily discounted on DSM earlier this year (that process probably cost me around $100-$120 all in to get the shoes and then send to them + they had customs charge passed on to me). Hopefully that one works as I was going for a sail midsole with darker/gum sole. At the time, I want to say he told me 10-12 weeks. Pricing is way up there at €2k for the Air Max 1. I paid on 1/11. Sold a handful of pricier items that were sitting and collecting dust in my closet knowing how much I wear my SW 1/97 and how much I might wear these. I also wanted to talk to them originally about an AJ1 or Dunk in the exact design of the Wonka but those materials are probably going to be impossible to source. Hope this helps you!
