Also, make sure you have a old cloth or rag inside the shoe that can help soak up the dirt and water as you’re cleaning

There are several types of samples. Only pre-production samples are usually limited to sizes 9 US for mens releases and 7 US WMNS for womens releases. The various production confirmation and sales samples are made in different sizes.

thanks for clarifying - the majority of samples posted online are pre-prod unreleased pairs hence why I thought only US9s existed. Didn't even know sales samples were produced - do they have sample printed inside? some must have minor differences to actual releases?

Avoid getting water on the mudguard as much as possible too. I had a careless cleaning where the dyed mudguard got wet and leeched into the mesh. Took a lot of careful cleaning to get the mesh clean. Watermelons bled out of the washing machine but my anniversary reds were fine.
