Easiest way it the pink layer has the lines going straight across rather than an angle. Look here it's angled. The other shoe goes the same way. They mirror each other.

Yea. I mean I'd love to have the huge cedar ones but the IKEA ones are $1 so I just use those. I'd say 90% of people that use shoe trees use theirs. I haven't had any problems yet.

Do they stretch the shoe at all? I only ask because my girl has a pair that are just a bit too small and I want to see if I can get them just a bit bigger for her.
