That gum sole does differ from the Rip Citys. However, that miAdidas version could have a bit better grip and be more durable.Ordered 2/29 and they arrived today by fedex with no updates from adidas beyond first order processed email. Half sized down to 9 from my usual 9.5 in hoops shoes for Nike and Adidas. Love the initial fit/feel. Only disappointed with the gum sole. Nowhere near the Rip City gum, much more "yellow" as description on miadidas indicates. Wish I would have gone with those since there are no returns on these...
If you compare the UK sizes, adidas tends to run a .5 larger when compared to Nike.So lillard 2s r tts? Usually wear 11 in nikes and 10.5 in jays
After hooping in both the BHM, regular lillard 2.0 pair, and the primeknit/boost combo pair (all whites), I can safely say that the primeknit/boost pair is miles ahead of the regular lillard 2.0's.
Here's my comparison :
Traction : PK/Boost pair's outsole is better than the regular 2.0 outsole. Like most people already said, the regular 2.0 outsole is really sticky but also really tight, which makes it a dust magnet.
I couldn't go one possession without having to swipe them.
On the PK/Boost pair, I think it uses the same outsole as the crazylight boosts, which is not great in itself, but it also definitely wasn't a bother for me at all. I didn't have to wipe nearly as much, and I got very good response from it overall.
The fit for both primeknit and jackard knit was pretty similar to me, I couldn't really differentiate them. This is probably because the inside is fully lined. As far as durability goes, I would say the jackard knit might last longer, mainly because of the suede reinforcement on the medial side, which is replaced with a plastic reinforcement on the primeknits. I think the suede will do a better job there.
Midsole : I like the boost/Stableframe combo better. As far as feel goes, the difference is pretty subtle. On the Boost ones, I could definitely feel the difference in cushioning from back to front, which obviously wasn't present on the bounce midsole. They are both really good tho, but the main reason why I liked the Boost midsole is because it makes the shoe much lighter overall.
I don't have a very accurate scale, so someone else could chime in here, but the PK/Boost shoe weighed 1lbs1oz, while the bouce shoe was 1lbs3oz. It might not seem like much, but the difference is felt on the court.
Conclusion :
Boost/StableFrame/Primeknit : 9.5/10, best ball shoe I've ever hooped in. Lockdown, fit, response, cushioning, all on point. If traction was beastly, I would buy 10 pairs of these and never look back. As it stands, it's great, but not perfect. Also, I'll have to see how it holds up with wear, since a lot of peeps are saying the Crazylight boost traction wears down very quickly.
Bounce/Regular 2.0 : 7/10. Overall, the shoe is not bad at all, but the traction is just too bad to be playable in, for me at least. Required too much wiping. I will try to modify to outsole and see if I can fix it, and give it another shot.
I really hope the Boost option is added to miAdidas. That midsole/outsole combo is superior to the default 2.0 Lillard outsole imho, and elevates the model to another level.
Same mid/outsole as the 2015/2.5 crazylight, yep.Does the Lillard 2 primeknit boost have the same exact bottom as the 2015 crazy light and 2.5 crazy light? How was the fore foot cushioning?
Niceee, I wonder if they corrected it because I hear a lot of people complain about the 2015 and 2.5 cushioning on the forefoot. Anyone own both?Same mid/outsole as the 2015/2.5 crazylight, yep.
Forefoot cushioning felt very adequate to me. Just enough cushion for comfort, but not too much to the point where you lose valuable court feel.
I personally couldn't differentiate in a blind test for the forefoot feel/cushion between StableFrame and Bounce.
I've only played in the CLB 2015, no Lillard Boost, but the forefoot cushioning was very lackluster in my opinion. The disparity between the boost in the heel and the lack of cushion in the forefoot may have exaggerated it a bit more, but overall I like the Bounce full-length better by miles. And of course Bounce is nothing like zoom in terms of responsiveness but to me it's a great balance of court feel and response.Niceee, I wonder if they corrected it because I hear a lot of people complain about the 2015 and 2.5 cushioning on the forefoot.
