THE OFFICIAL 2024 - 2025 DALLAS COWBOYS SEASON THREAD || 3-6 Next Game 11/18 vs. Texans Monday Night Football

What benefit does Jerry Jones have being this old and the acting President, Owner, and General Manager for the Dallas cowboys? Why not outsource the GM position to someone who will devote full time and effort to do the Job.. If Jerry was an Owner/president only he would have fired himself as GM 3-4 times already🫠

GM traded a 2024 fourth round draft pick to a NFC Super Bowl contender for QB Trey Lance when we already had a proven back up… any other GM would be the hot seat.
The conversation locally is that Jerry isn’t actually calling shots
Stephen Jones is the front office executive that we’re now recognizing is the problem

Doesn’t want to spend money and remember he’s the person that wanted to get rid of Dez
So we now understand that it was most likely Stephen Jones that traded Amari Cooper for two 5th round pick

Cowboys lost a bunch of people today in free agency.

What is Jerruh's decrepit *** doing?
It’s obvious Jerry is giving Dak and MM one more chance at a run with this current group. No big additions. This is what he meant with “All in”. When they predictably fail he’ll blow it all up  :smh:

I'm starting to wonder whether or not they're going to restructure and extend Dak.

If you were going to do it, there's no reason to allow it to drag into training camp when you have so many holes to fill and the ability to create real, tangible space.

This feels like a Dak/McCarthy 'prove it or get the f out' year. Nobody wants to blow it up, but making Dak the highest paid QB in football kills you anyways.

Maybe it’s that.

But this isn’t far from what they do every year in free agency. And it’s annoying every time.

Jerry and Stephen having the same playbook every year hurt the team in the Romo era and the Dak era

Oh, they're morons without a doubt.

It's crazy when they were great they signed big-time free agents literally every offseason and then somewhere along the way there was a complete philosophical shift that landed them where they are today.

Just flat out bizarre.

Next season's schedule with (maybe?) two rookie or unproven offensive linemen at the two most critical spots? Yikes.

it’s why I’ll defend Dak. I think he’s better than he’s given credit for. But it becomes a semantics argument.

Sure has warts. Maybe he isn’t the guy. I think a “the guy” argument is overplayed because there’s very few “the guy(s)”

but the Jones’ haven’t never ever done their guys any favors in the last 25 years.

I think of the CM Punk pipe bomb promo every time talking about Vince McMahon
“Maybe this company will be better after Vince McMahon (Jerry Jones) is dead. But the fact is, it’s going to be taken over by his idiotic daughter and his doofus son-in-law and the rest of his stupid family”

3 min to say a whole bunch of nothing. Man's sounds like Joe Biden in that clip.

Not made at a lineman, it's needed. Had a small ounce of hope that penix would drop far enough for us but the falcons are the falcons

I'm done until the team is sold. I'm tired of watching of below average management.

we all going to be burning in hell with half the jones family before this team is ever sold 😂

We was never going to take a qb. Jerry is not that stupid like the falcons. Even tho a qb would make more sense for us than them. The headlines would have be out of this world this morning if we did.

I agree but if penix is there, I don't put anything past jerry to not stir controversy.

As bad as the offseason was to this point, these guys do kinda know what they're doing on draft weekend.

Hard to even nitpick anything they've done so far.

That’s their bread and butter…

But it’s 3 phases to player acquisition and we completely ignore one, free agency…

Will always have a ceiling imo until we participate in all phases…

finally worked on the lines and not mad at it.

the NO RB thing is overblown

zeke shouldnt be on this roster tho as a starting RB kill that crap

I don’t follow draft stuff like I did 5 years ago. So I have no idea if they did well. I generally trust their draft approach though.

If only their approach to free agency and cap manipulation was even in the same universe, it’d be a totally different franchise.
