THE OFFICIAL 2024 - 2025 DALLAS COWBOYS SEASON THREAD || 3-6 Next Game 11/18 vs. Texans Monday Night Football

Dak is a bum. Jerry would be a fool to let that bum start next season.

Someone needs to put child porn on Dez’s computer.

Before we give up on Dak, let’s first get him a number 1 WR & TE that can separate from defenders.

His first 2 progressions are a waste of time every time he takes a two step drop

wont matter if dak is throwing the ball over their head.

No excuse for Rico Gathers not to be playing in the last few games.

at the end of the day this team was 9-7 and coulda easily won the Rams, Packers, and Seahawks games if it wasn't more mismanagement and discipline, add in Zeke's drama and this was just a lost season

We're gonna give dez away, have 2 more seasons of mediocrity and then get a new qb with no weapons but zeke.

Decided to finally get a PFF subscription.... So here it goes.

Dak Prescott - 80.3 (84.4 in 2016) - 16th QB - Ranked Above Average

Zeke Elliott - 83.5 (88.8 in 2016) - 10th RB - Ranked Above Average
Alfred Morris - 73.4 - 43rd RB - Ranked Average
Rod Smith - 70.2 - 57th RB - Ranked Average

Dez Bryant - 75.4 (86.3 in 2016) - 46th WR- Ranked Average
Cole Beasley -68.0 (86.1 in 2016) - T-69th WR - Ranked Below Average
Brice Butler - 62.8 - Ranked Poor
Terrance Williams - 58.4 (76.5 in 2016) - 75th WR - Ranked Poor

Jason WItten - 73.3 (75.3 in 2016) - 19th TE - Ranked Average
James Hanna - 73.2 (69 in 2016) - 20th TE - Ranked Average

Tyron Smith - 79.7 (84.8 in 2016) - 18th T - Ranked Average (33rd in Pass Block, 5th in Run Block)
La'el Collins - 52.7 (38 in 2016) - 52nd T - Ranked Poor (64th in Pass Block, 37th Run Block)
Chaz Green - 30.6
Byron Bell - 27.4

Zach Martin - 91.9 (88.6 in 2016) - 2nd G - Ranked Elite (5th in Pass Block, 2nd in Run Block)
Jonathan Cooper - 62.7 - 36th G - Ranked Below Average (45th in Pass Block, 31st in Run Block)

Travis Frederick - 89.8 (90.9 in 2016) - 2nd C - Ranked High Quality (4th in Pass Block, 2nd in Run Block)

Kind of clear what went on here...
1. Not having Zeke for 6 games.
2. Really bad replacements for Tyron when he was injured.
3. Other than Zach & TFred, the line was really mediocre. Tyron was fine, but hampered with injuries all season.
3. All of our WRs took a step back. Which Dez is included in, but he still played OK. Cole & TWill regressed significantly, and Jason Witten isn't an impact player as a Reciever (8th best Run Blocking TE)

In order to be 11-5 & 12-4, instead of 9-7 it really has very little to do with Dak, and everything to do with depth.
1. The gap between Zeke vs. Alfred & Rod Smith is so damn significant that it basically transforms the entire offense. Elite or even Good core of WRs & TEs would cover that up, but that isn't what we have.
2. We need depth on OL. Cooper & La'el were not very good, but you can get away with that with an elite RG & C, and really good LT. But if Tyron is injured, we need somebody who isn't a walking disaster to be behind him. I would invest good money or a higher round pick in a swing Tackle, someone who is a fringe starter
3. We need a really good 2nd WR. It takes so much attention off of Dez & Cole. As does Zeke in the backfield.
4. Witten is still really good in the run game, but he's a hindrance in the pass attack. Hanna is okay. But we need someone who stretches us downfield.
5. Play calling specifically passing is trash

Needs:
1. New OC and play calling
2. 2nd WR
3. A really good backup Tackle

Can’t believe people still clinging to the Dak Prescott bandwagon

You’d think for as much **** as this fan base always gave Romo that they wouldn’t be holding on to hope that Alex Smith 2.0 is gonna get us over the hump

Need the rebuild to start already

Witten said he coming back another year..... dude must hate his wife.

So pick any time Romo got hurt.... Kitna, Cassel, Brad Johnson, Orton, Weeden, Moore could barley get a first down! We cut weeden he signed to Houston and within a week threw for 400 yards/ 4 TDs because Hopkins was able to make the game easier for him.

Y’all must of forget the struggle it was to find a Reliable QB.

Don’t get me wrong.... Dak needs to play better but we have bigger issues than the QB position.

essential1 essential1 with the prime write ups once again

yall do realize dak makes pennies on the dollar?

can help us boost other positions and re-sign lawrence

give him another year without excuses and pass judgment... not a good look to draft another early QB now

This QB draft sucks. I'll ride with Dak. A new OC and some real weapons would do wonders.

Give Dak some slack. He just needs a top 3 WR, a top 3 RB, and a 90s Cowboys depth at OL to succeed.

Those are all easy to find. :emoji_ok_hand:

I'm scared to even look at the Cowboys Draft projections, Jerry Jones be in the War Room like he Black Friday Shopping online while Garrett in the Corner clapping.
