THE OFFICIAL 2024 - 2025 DALLAS COWBOYS SEASON THREAD || 3-6 Next Game 11/18 vs. Texans Monday Night Football

Nice win.

Cowboys showed some resiliency after the Eagles broke of 24 straight.

We're in the driver's seat but we have to capitalize.

Carrbage.

Dez couldn't wait for this game so it's not surprising the kind of day he had. Wish Romo had a better arm and could hit Dez in stride more.

Let's enjoy this win and get back to work Wednesday.

An Eagles loss to the Skins Saturday, means that we can clinch the division by beating Indy.

Doug free never came back last night either.

We could possible be without the whole starting right side of our line.

I like Parnell and bernadau, but there's an obvious drop off in their play in regards to the starters.

Hitchens, Scandrick have been good. But not good enough to be best LB or DB on a team. Which both of them have had to be.
McClain has been decent. I like him as at least a backup to Glass Joe Sean Lee because he'll end up starting 10 games.
Wilcox & Church seem to be out of position 99% of the time, and somehow one of them come up with a big play once a game.
Melton & Mincey have been "okay", but co-leading the team with 5 sacks is horrid.

Carr is garbage. Moore is meh. Durant disappointing again. Carter has had good games, but terribly inconsistent. Crawford & Selvie mediocre. Lawrence looked good in his first game, has disappeared since then.

Murray has a broken bone on his left arm, team says he can still start sunday.

Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray has a broken fourth metacarpal in his left hand and will undergo surgery, but there is a chance he could play this week, according to a source.

Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones said on 105.5 The Fan in Dallas that Murray has a broken bone but didn't specify the magnitude of the break.

Man if we can just get the second seed. Rest has helped us big this season and rest before a playoff game would be so beneficial to us.

i just wanted to own up to something i posted in the nfl thread after the thanksgiving game that a few cowboys fans understandably disagreed with.

i said, it was a legit possibility they would be going into the washington game week 17 at 8-7 with another 8-8 season being a real possibility.

i was totally wrong, this cowboys team got a different level of toughness to them then what i'm used to seeing.

I agree 100%. Every time we've had a rest we've played good. Particularly the d. Specifically McClain.

I'm excited about this upcoming game tho. Gonna be tough. Two hot teams. Yet another must win for Dallas.

Can't wait to see the injury report tho.

McClain has been pretty good IMO. Durant was balling before he got hurt. Jerry already said Lee wont be playing middle next year. Give me Lee, McClain, and Durant at starting backers and Hitchens backing them up and im happy. I can live with them at backers.

We gotta find a corner, thats one of the reasons pur d-line looks so bad. Too many plays we only rush 4 because we cant trust our DB's. unless there is a safety that we cant pass on i want to go corner in the first round. Carr becomes toast once a week.

But this week is huge for us. Rest would be huge for our line but right now we cant afford to drop any games. For 3 and a half hours i'll be rollin with the diplomats :lol

Man all of us had doubt at some point this season. They have a different level of everything, that we aren't use to seeing. Every single game from now on is a must win.

Durant is a FA. Unless he's coming cheap..

He's behind:
Dez Bryant
DeMarco Murray
Doug Free
Ronald Leary
Rolando McClain
Lance Dunbar
Cole Beasley
Also would put Bruce Carter at the same level as Durant, just because he's younger.

in terms of importance.

It's funny too because if any other year we had made the playoffs I would have rather gone in as a wildcard/3 or 4 seed because I would have felt like we would need momentum in order to get anything accomplished. This year I feel the exact opposite.

It's so hard to predict the upcoming game.. Will colts bring their A game? They can't possibly win the 1st or 2nd seed in the AFC and have already won their division. ... hopefully that's a factor.
but this is the NFL and I sincerely believe that most players want to win and try their hardest regardless of circumstances.

J Geezy man.. I'm so back and forth on this dude. ..
I've told myself no matter how much success he has this season he needs to go, but then I see videos of him in the locker room and my mind completely changes... it's all a "process"

This year really has changed my entire mindset on Garrett.... And the last 3 8-8 seasons really.

Look at the team Garrett inherited. How many players are left from that team? That team was one of the oldest teams in the league. Yet, Garrett was able to create a new roster, take the team from being one of the oldest to one of the youngest... All while being in the playoff race up until the last game of the season. Now we're really starting to see the results of the "process" this season. Garrett deserves alot of credit imo.

Now y'all on the Garrett bandwagon. Well, its too late because I took up all the seats at the beginning of the season.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, he's the best coach they had since Parcells and how many playoff games did the great Parcells win with Dallas? He's also young and we've had to watch him learn on the job, but he's going to be something special.

The Cowboys have only had one other coach since Parcells. You're making it seem as if we went through a period of many terrible coaches.

Also look what Parcells inherited compared to what Jason did. PARCELLS TOOK THEM TO THE PLAYOFFS IN HIS FIRST year with the players he had. Jerry Jones wasn't the same person he is now either. To do that with those circumstances was impressive.

I give props on Garrett for being on Jerry's good side . He has to have gained a lot of power to make him believe in him. That's impessive in its self.
