Since I have another 2 weeks and nothing else to do, I'm really going to try and track this year's draft. Normally I would tune out and only watch 5 minutes
I used to have a party and do a quasi bracket similar to ncaa just an excuse to drink and gamble though now it's way to spread out I can't set aside 4 days for a damn draft
I'll probably just watch Day 1 & Day 2. Gets me through the first 3 rounds. After that, trying to figure out players will be too tough.
I just did my own Depth Chart, and where I think we should go, and separated it into three categories.
Must Draft -
1. DT - Melton is coming off injury, and Hayden to me is only a rotational guy. To me it's far more important than DE.
2. LG - There is literally no one in the position.
Should Draft -
1. FS/SS (I have my feelings that JJ can be moved to FS like in College, so either or works for me. Love Bucannon, but if they go somewhere else, that's fine)
2. ROLB/LOLB (tough because Durant & Carter can be good, and I like Holloman as a backup, but there's something not enough about them).
Right Players Only (If our pick comes up and there's an absolute steal i.e. Dez at #24) -
1.RT (We don't need to move Free to LG, I fear the great leaps he took last year could be hurt by moving him again, but if there's a steal at RT, do it),
2. DE (it's shaky because we don't know what Spencer will do or if he can do anything but even without him we have 5 DE's
3. WR - Unless a great receiver drops, I can't think of a reason to spend a 1st - 4th round on a WR. It's also not like we need a 1st or 2nd receiver. We just need a #3. Harris would be a great 4. And Beasley is a great quick under routes guy. Since we have a bunch of picks in the 7th, that's where I think we should wait.
