The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

I agree that Izzy's legacy is basically set. Prob never getting the belt back. He had a great run. Anderson's achievements will be hard for anyone to match.

It's probably easier to do an exhibition match in another country for Misfits or whoever. He can make some fast cash then go from there. But even being an exhibition I question whether it actually happens and/or the UFC intervenes and stops it. There are other fighters who would do exhibitions outside of BJJ if it was allowed.

Conor can’t do anything without ufc sign off and Dana not approving that side show

That Ambani money is long.

And right now he could use a little juice coming into his next fight.

If he lost though Dana might cut that *****

Just have him do the last two fights. There isn’t any more juice in that orange.

Use him toward your next media contract.

Then he can do whatever he wants like exhibitions that result in him getting slept.

Rich Clemente once said after he fought Melvin Guillard: “There’s nothing worse than a guy who talks $*** and don’t back it up.”

…see Conor McGregor.

Wonder if there is a Judge union? Or if the athletic commissions will object?

This is probably at least years from legitimately being a real thing in combat sports. It would require a lot of training of the AI model. But cool test. Turki is pushing the boundaries of boxing.

He low key wants to find out who the baddest man on the planet is too in MMA.

I assume the AI will be using the live CompuBox numbers as well as other parameters like time spent moving forward opposed to backwards, activity per round and some other stuff

but I'm curious how it will account for damage, cuts and the IMPACT/POWER of shots being landed.

I think its interesting and has potential as a TOOL to help judging....

could be 4 judges + 1 AI judge in the future, I'm not sure but it is good to see Turki getting creative and trying to solve the issues that have plagued boxing forever

I'll be scoring the fight this weekend round by round and comparing it to what the AI saw.
