The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

Didn't GSP ask for Diaz after he beat Condit?  Diaz lost to Condit previous to that, yet still got a title shot.

The same could plausibly happen between Diaz and Pettis.  The way he lost to Thomson was much more convincing than the way Nick lost to Condit though.  Still, there's been some entertaining trash talk between the two.
Dana did promise Nick Diaz a title shot when Diaz vacated the Strikeforce belt, but he missed all those pre-fight promotional events so he got replaced by Condit. Nick Diaz at least earned that initial title shot (before losing to Condit) when he was absorbed into the UFC.

There's no way Nate Diaz deserves a shot since he never earned a title shot in the first place. If he were to beat Khabib I could see a case being built but right now he is two fights away. Gilbert, Ben and Thomson are all right there too.

Why does Nate deserve a title shot so soon after losing his title shot against Bendo

Even though Pettis has Bendo's number and is champ, I think Bendo is a worse matchup for Diaz. I don't see Diaz beating Pettis nor Bendo. I also believe RDS and Khabib are nightmare matchups for him... not to mention TJ Grant is still out there kind of like the forgotten man, would be quite the matchup for Diaz.

Also if Gilbert wins the strap Nate's on ice until he loses it.

Nate diaz only needs one win to get another title shot. One entertaining fight and a surprising win. If the great dana white likes you, sometimes ranking doesn't matter. You all should know this hahaha.

Injuries would have to come in to play. The division is too loaded for Dana to pull that crap. Gilbert, benson, Thomson, khabib, RDS, grant all waiting. Diaz is in no postion to be one fight away.

Nate has started to get pretty loose with his words as of late and we all know how personal Dana takes things.

That being said i'd love to see him and his brother as champs :smokin

Some interesting fights on the midweek card.

I'm looking for my man Rockhold to prove that he's gonna be a problem at 185. Same goes for Larkin, although to a lesser degree.

I'm ready for tonight's card, hoping for rockhold to rebound and look dominant. Don't think phillipou has ever been finished

Brunson had Romero on the ropes, but it seemed more like Romero was either being complacent or entitled. He's in for a rude awakening once he starts moving up the ranks, but he's a specimen for sure and the Silver medal in wrestling will always be mentioned with his name. Romero was still taken down with ease tonight and also in his last fight, so I don't know how much that Silver medal means in the cage.

at Cole Miller calling Cerrone "Clownboy" Cerrone and saying he'd pay for Dolce to help Cerrone cut to 145 for a fight. Dudes have had beef for a while now. Cerrone stays mad at guys who beat his friend Leonard

Can't wait for that fight, I love bad blood fights. I don't want Cowboy to go to 145 though.

Luke Rockhold rebounded nicely however he really didn't get to show much since it ended so quickly. I'm happy he has his confidence back though.

Road to the Octagon this Saturday! 2 P.M. pacific time on Fox
