He needs to do both. Wrestle and be more aggressive. He was running away getting trapped on the cage way too much

He really thought he could bob and weave for 25 minutes. He’s a world class striker himself and should remember that- Alex was saved by the bell last time out

Izzy gotta do everything he can to stay away from the cage. I rewatched the fight Sunday, he needs to chop perriera leg and be aggressive. He has the speed advantage, and is able to switch stances all fight. Perriera just has dynamite hands you need to watch out for.

Before their last fight, I remember reading about Pereira speaking on that Izzy quote. It was an article from Guillermo who interviewed him.

Pretty much he took that personal as hell because he had an alcohol addiction around 2009, pre kickboxing. Was in the bars everyday drinking, wasting life away. Training KB got him out of that funk.

After reading that its crazy as hell to see where he is now. UFC champ and only Glory double champ man.

He doesn’t need to get him out with one shot- he just needs to apply more pressure and keep his foot on the gas instead of putting it in reverse too much

It’s not as if izzy has never hurt him before. He’s done it twice and both times alex was either saved by the ref or by the bell

What’s ironic is that i was saying izzy should wrestle coming into their first fight and some said they’d be surprised to see him do that

He does not need to be reckless, he still needs to grapple and tie him up. He needs to mma him

But imo izzy was acting scared of Alex to a degree. He was being a Bull fighter a bit too much, you could feel his skiddishness

I agree with Vince, Izzy needs to apply a bit more pressure on Alex. Those leg kicks were brutal and part of the reason by the 5th he was getting cornered by the cage.

Izzy also has a very underrated chin, maybe not go one for one with Pereira but if he can get off 3-4 hit combos to Pereiras one he caeating those trades.

I didn’t watch the countdown but haven’t seen Eugene Berriman (sp) yet. Izzy definitely needs tech for this next fight. That point fighting can work like ya said with pressure. This is his legacy at stake.
