You could argue, assuming Mamedov gets this decision win over Benson, that Mamaedov (#7) should be ranked higher than his cornerman Usman Nurmagmedov (#3)

Mamedov got a padded record. Should've lost that fight against Primus. All he does is try and control you for 3 rounds while gassing himself out in the process.

I didn't have Benson winning, but this was revenge for the judges giving Mamedov the decision win over Primus

I gave Benson the 3rd round for the decision. Mamedov didn't really land anything significant in that round. Close fight either way.
Bader should be able to run through this guy if he's not 100% washed yet.

I just read from a non major outlet that they're trying to set up Patricky v Outlaw next in March
I would assume Usman then fights one more then a title shot?

Yeah, should be him vs. Primus for winner of the title fight. Then Usman can run through the division til the UFC move.

I don't know who said it but maybe Big John or Thompson but they had mentioned that Usman was huge for a LW. I wonder if eventually he'll have to move up, whether the UFC or Bellator

Bellator's HW division is extremely shallow. Just to give others an idea, Fedor is ranked #3 and they are supposedly floating that around as the next title fight.Cheick congo is your next top contender

They should've picked up Overeem and JDS, then have a HW Grand Prix. Would've brought some viewers just off their names alone.
I get the direction of building home grown talent for their other weight classes. But the HW division is already filled with old washed up fighters and folks working at your local planet fitness.
