I also think Max knows should he lose a 3rd fight with Volk his stock drops off heavy and he'll need to work his way either back up the 45 ladder in hopes Volk loses the belt or alternatively get himself beefed up for 55 and work his way up. I don't see him getting the big money fights at this time though.

I wonder if Max would be down to fight Ortega again. It'd be more or less like fighting Yair who is ranked below but if Max is confident, he could whoop on Ortega again in hopes that then, the Volk trilogy make sense. I do think Yair and Ortega seems like the more logical fight though.

Nah man, that doesn't really make sense tbh. Why would Ortega deserve a fight with Max much less what made anyone think Ortega would fare any better than he did the first time against Max

Plus, if you put Ortega in there against Max, good chance Ortega is retired at the age of 30

Volk vs Max III makes sense right now. There doesn't need to be any other fights. It's Max that's hesitant on it for whatever reason. The Champ wants the fight. Dana wants the fight. The fans want the fight

leon should've just tried to get a fight with chimaev. If he's better than chimaev and won he could've slowed down the guy's hype train while also elevating himself.

In Leon's defense, he told Okamoto that Chimaev was scheduled to fight Leon like 3 times and it never came to be. So I kinda get why Leon is being stubborn but yeah, Dana doesn't care about any of that lol
