We never got Fedor vs UFC HWs. Askren got to UFC when he was too old. Cyborg got done dirty.

Ain't no way Dana buying Bellator. They are the 2nd biggest promotion but they are a far back #2. Dana probably doesn't even see them as a threat honestly.

Strikeforce already had established big names and a premier HW pool. They were actually a threat in comparison to Bellator recently finally figuring out their best path for success and longevity is to be the promotion that grooms their own fighters to reach that good/elite level.

But what stops free agency?

Will Brooks, Eddie Alvarez and Michael Chandler bounced. I’m sure there are a few other examples.

Nothing stops free agency but money. If your Scott you probably just hope that every scenario can work out like how Chandler did (Not leaving the company til the near end of your prime).

Chandler seems to be a good dude. But he definitely would’ve becomes a bigger star sooner.

Everyone knows Askren for his fights with Robbie and KO from Masvidal. And Eddie wouldn’t have gotten that 10 mill contract from oneFC if they weren’t trying to pick up UFC scraps. Sucks Bellator didn’t grab those three (Sage, DJ, and Eddie). That place is savage and probably full of PED users.
