The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

I never considered him P4P over Cain, Aldo or Jones. He was up there though after those guys, he deserved to be. I don't think many people take P4P lists that seriously anyway.

I wonder what they do with Ruthless now. Does he get a shot or does he have to fight someone like Matt Brown. I wonder what they do with the winner of Woodley/Rory

^ Dana said Lawler is the front runner to fight Hendricks next. But he's going to wait until after the Rory/TWood fight. Assuming that Rory or TWood is going to need an impressive win to overtake Robbie. So whoever is the odd man out is probably going to get Matt Brown.

Barao was in the same P4P tier as "Mighty Mouse," for me. Not quite as technical as Demetrious Johnson, then again nobody is.

To Barao's credit, 33-fight unbeaten streak everyone knows about prior to the Dillashaw upset. Seemed off, didn't have his best stuff. Never recovered fully from an early shot. Essentially cleared out 135 previously. Faber twice, McDonald, Jorgensen, Pickett, Wineland. There was nobody left for Dana White to put in front of Barao. In the 173 buildup, one could make a strong argument Dillashaw was undeserving of a title shot. Mike Easton has been a disappointment, but I could argue T.J. defeated Assuncao. Scored it 29-28 for Dillashaw.

"Money" will make you a believer with his wrestling and improved standup.

I think Aldo said it best about P4P...

Basically said Cain is the biggest champion so he'd kick everybody's *** :lol

Lawler looked tremendous. Would love to see him fight Nick for a title shot :smokin

Hector Lombard doesn't hold back, like ever. No chill button

*Thoughts on Matt Brown and being disappointed in not being booked against him

"I'm mostly disappointed about how much hype Matt Brown has. I mean, he's been fighting guys that, he never fought a top 10 guy. That's one. And who is Erick Silva? I mean like, that's ridiculous."

"I would like to fight this guy one day, and I'll prove a point."

"He has to go and fight a top ten guy and go from there, because when you fight a guy like Erick Silva anybody can look good. I'd beat Erick Silva even better, even easier."

*Thoughts on all the hype on Matt Brown getting a title shot an nobody talking about him getting one

"You know it's something that is out of my control. But once again, I believe Matt Brown doesn't deserve none of that. I believe Matt Brown is just an average fighter. And, you know like, even Kim (Dong Hyun) for example. Kim beat Matt Brown and he's behind. Actually Kim beat Matt Brown and he beat Erick Silva. He knocked him out, in Brazil, in his home town. So Kim is four times better than Matt Brown and four times better than Erick Silva and he is behind on the table, like when you're on the ranks. He's behind Matt Brown, when he beat Matt Brown. How's this guy supposed to feel? How am I supposed to feel when I beat two former Strikeforce champs. It doesn't make sense."

"He never beat any Strikeforce champions, he never beat any top 10 guys and he has all the hype. That's (not) very understandable. I don't understand that at all."

*On Matt Brown's long win streak

"If you fight all those fighters that he fought, I would have that record as well."

If "Immortal" decided to trade, I sincerely believe Lombard would KO him.

Can't wait for Bendo's test against Khabilov.

If it can't be my guy "NBK" holding the strap, might as well be Robbie. Just don't like Hendricks or Brown.
EA SPORTS UFC Hands-on Impressions
EA said that the UFC series won't be an annual title. They're aiming for a 18-22 month cycle for each game.

EA also promised that there will be free roster updates for fighters not currently in the game (like TJ Dillashaw) in addition to DLC fighters and that they will be providing updates for the game on a consistent basis.

Thoughts/predictions on Bendo vs. Khabilov?

Bendo's new walkout shirt is too fresh. "Always Smooth." "Once and Future King."

Brown was getting hurt against Silva. Not just once either. Imagine Lawler getting inside :x
"Ruthless" Robbie. Feel-good comeback story extending past 2013. No fluke. You think he beat Johny?

Ellenberger is headed down the wrong path. Afraid to throw against Rory and finished by Robbie. IDK if his power is as feared anymore.

Barao clearly never recovered from the massive shot in R1, looping right. Hard to throw kicks when you're constantly backed up with pressure.

Dillashaw was looking for that wide-left head kick all night. As was Barao with the spinning back kick.

I don't expect T.J. to hold the 135 belt very long. I'd favor Barao in a rematch.

Hell of a fight from TJ though.

The minute I saw Henderson weighed in at 199 I knew it was a wrap for him.

Yeah, Jon Jones like dominance on the cards.

I never count out Hendo anymore... Not after what he did to my dude Fedor but good lord DC made him look like a middleweight in there.

"Bones" gets sensitive about Gus. We need a rematch. I would be thoroughly impressed if Jones does what he did to Glover, to Gustafsson.

Why does he get sensititve? Just because dude was his toughest fight?

Very sore subject. Jones looked visibly uncomfortable when the topic of Gus was brought up by two or three members of media. Ariel Helwani backed off quickly when "Bones" adamantly resisted answering.

I'm speculating here. Gus could be the one guy that haunts Jones. He was able to inflect damage and pain on "Bones." Took Jones out of his usual comfort and rhythm. Normally cruise control with natural talent and athleticism.

Not to thread-jack like I have in the past with ring girls, but this is I deem necessary.
