im a cowboys fans but never bought into the irvin is goat talk. stats matter and i remember irvin after the 94 season and till he retired. dude struggled to get open and was called for lots of push offs. he was good but he wasnt that great. stats matter. so he had the best running back of all time on his squad , to bad. you can be goat type status without the stats.

Deion Sanders(who covered both) has said Jerry was goat while sitting right next to Micheal Irvin.
Michael Irvin has said Jerry was goat.
Even if you say Randy is better than Jerry, it ain't no gotdamn Michael Irvin.
******* nonsense.

We still on this Irvin BS?

Thought we left that in last years thread.

Irvin aint even top 5

Y'all better learn Calvin Pryor's name

Pro Bowl season coming :hat

they drafted Garrett Grayson to be the hopeful successor to Brees

welp

#Saints are waiving former third-rounder QB Garrett Grayson, source said (as @ProFootballTalk reported). Explains keeping McCown around.

Not that it will make me care about the pro bowl, but considering they have moved away from the conference vs conference format

Do they just take the best 6 safeties instead of 3 afc safeties and 3 NFC safeties?

Makes sense just to take the best overall guys considering it is no longer a afc vs NFC game.. Or the best overall guys willing to play the game

Wow has he been that bad?

Glennon was AWFUL in the preseason...we're going to end up having to look for a new backup next year.

Glennon should have been traded while the Bucs had their chance.

These "Anonymous Scout" article are always horrible and they always contain lines just like that.

NFL Scouts, at least the ones with media jobs, always seem to be horrible evaluators of actual NFL talent.

Kills me when I hear some of the stuff said about dudes who should have connects.. Granted through Twitter you can get a lot more inside info because you can get a crap load of info

But yea, when I hear things said I kinda have to look sideways and wonder.. But I get covering all teams to the degree I care about my one team and things that affect them is hard.. But this is these people's jobs

And some I wonder how much they really know about sports.. Like whether they were just journalist who went the sports route cause it was viewed as easier

You're telling me. We definitely could have gotten a 2nd or 3rd rounder at one point this past offseason but our GM was too scared to trade our backup because he came from the Cardinals where once Palmer went down the whole season was over. Now we'll lose him next offseason for nothing.

One thing I gotta give old Andy, cause I don't think he does it anymore.. But something he got from his time in Green Bay

Eagles would regularly take a QB in the 3rd+ rounds for development purposes.. And if a trade opened up they moved the guy quick.. And usually it was a come up

Because we had a solid team during that time, granted our WRs were crap.. Guys didn't have to really get out of their comfort zones too much, so usually they looked solid when asked to play

Sometimes I thought Reid would have a better game plan for the non mcnabb guys cause he allowed our running game to do a lot more

This ain't real, right?!
Not sure if it's real, but what's up with my man Romo and all these guarantee predictions?

Every other time I hear about him lately he's shooting his shot. Lookin' like a gunslinger on & off the field.

In case anyone forgot...last year:
Following the game, an exchange between Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Romo was captured by a microphone for Showtime's "Inside the NFL."

Brady said to Romo, “Good luck, man. Hope you feel better.”

Romo responded, "See you in February."
This year:
So what did Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo say to the Seattle Seahawks defensive end whose sack caused the fractured bone in his back?

"You take care of the NFC West, we will see yall in the playoffs."

Those were the words of an optimistic Romo via text message to Seattle's Cliff Avril.
