This is the great debate between the greats, Ross & 50. Who is better? Who do you choose.
NO VOTES CAN BE CHANGED!!!

Here's 2 Reference Records:

In their prime, 50 definitely got it. It was crazy to witness that 50 hype that lead up to Get Rich.

Overall though, Ross is way more consistent.

Who better at what? Better at rap? Better artist? Better catalog? Better peak?

Discography = Ross
Artist = Ross
Peak = 50
Rapper = 50

Music aside, at the end of the day 50 is icon despite almost zero longevity. Don't thin Ross is an icon. He's close but not there.

50 has legitimately fell off. Ross is declining, but he's more in the line of becoming a legacy act. Ain't nobody checking for 50 solely b/c it probably won't be anything notable.

Classic!

I dont **** with Curtis much for various reasons but his peak was high quality and I loved that he was ****ting on Ja Rule's corny *** and Murder Inc. That movement and momentum is comparable to when DMX came on the scene.

Rick Ross is a dade county legend & 50 cent a jamaica queens legend... another dope debate could be who had the better henchmen Lloyd Banks and Young Buck or Meek Mill and Wale?

Ross was self made. w/ no co sign... 50 was destined to blow with dr dre and eminem backing him up also

50 was the bigger artist easily. Ross just survived the times. I’ll go wit Curtis just off the strength of the early work but with that being said Im listening to Ross over 50 at this moment in time.

That one supersedes everything. In Da Club is the biggest hip hop song of the 21st century thus far
Having Dre and Em in your corner definitely magnified everything x10. Kinda like how Wayne jump started drake and Nicki. Grodt was the **** and the massacre had its moments. G unit first album was the **** even tho banks and buck ran the show imo. 50s was on top of the world. But the music aged terribly. Take nostalgia away and it’s all meh. Ross old **** still tough and he still putting out quality.

this is a misnomer, he was already da hottest thing smoking in New York during da DJ Clue Kay slay Envy mixtape era...people were just afraid to touch him because murder inc was more connected politically in da music industry... it took interscope records which is based in da west coast and Eminem to essentially to an end run around New York rap industry politics.

50 only got one wack album “Curtis”

“Animal Ambition” was hard but it’s been cool to hate on 50 for years now so most people don’t like it.

Ross might be more relevant in music today but if he is, it’s not by much. Ross never been a superstar or put up big numbers.

2014 and this was fire

This was also hard

:rofl: :rofl:

That's the only wack one huh?

He only got like five.

GRODT - Classic
The Massacre - Too much filler but the good songs hit hard still.
Curtis - Too pop, too much garbage on there.
Before I Self Destruct - This album is hard, don't give a **** what no one says. It was just cool to hate on 50 when this came out so people killed it.
Animal Ambition - Another dope album

Power of the Dollar and Guess Who's Back if you want to include, both are fire.

Power Of The Dollar is his best work. Still play it top to bottom. GRODT was a monster but it aged bad. Massacre had some good songs but alot of filler. Rest of his albums ain't worth talking about. Guess Who's Back wasn't a album. It had songs from POTD and mixtape records. That was something they put out reintroduce people to 50.

Ross easily if we're just talking about music preference.

50's Henchmen because they were really his henchmen turned damned good or atleast entertaining rappers.

Both great, but Ross never had the moment of total lockdown in the rap industry like 50 did. You had to be there to feel the weight of wanksta through in da club.
