What does it mean to 'sell out?' Serious question.
One google search popped up that selfish *** Jay Z runs or directly supports 18 charities.
I remember son gave a mill to aid Hurricane Katrina
Selective amnesia probably hinders yall from remembering dude did a documentary to Aid the water situation in Africa.
The whole Barney thing was for charity but yall was too busy calling dude an Uncle Tom for some **** some employees did.
Im sure at the end of the day it aint enough tho. Yall always spending another ***** money. Want dude to give $20 mill to the hood. But you wouldn't give $20 to a bum.

bruh this is NT, they think paid in full is the greatest movie ever made.I like how Cam gets a pass in here.
yea he use to talk real slick about jay in numerous interviews back in the day but now he gives props and shows his respect.Yes, Cam is probably one of the biggest Jay-Z enviers. He knows his place now, though.
Dude felt a little too comfortable mentioning his superiors back in the day.

You know what, at the end of the day I feel that people are expecting too much out of Jay Z.
We look at how successful he's become in multiple avenues, and get confused. He's a rapper. That's it. He isn't a politician. He isn't some type of social activist. He honestly doesn't have any responsibility other than to...well rap and make money
People aren't happy with where they are in life, and need someone to blame. It's easy to blame the most popular "pop" star especially because he came from the same area that you came from.
In general, I just hate when we take entertainers, and put them in a light that isn't really worthy. The only thing anyone should care for when it comes to Jay Z is his music. When you expect entertainers to do more than entertain, that's when issues occur.
If there are issues in your community that need fixing, don't look at the rapper to fix them no matter how big of an entertainer he (or she) is.
he treats ye different because ye didnt complain about what the label wouldnt do for him or how he was being held back, he took his own money made and released his own music to the point they had no choice but to focus their attention on him, meanwhile with the other artist it was........Basically what I thought as well.
People projecting their expectations/standards/morals on to him and disappointed when he doesn't deliver.
Although my understanding is that Jay let his guys eat but to a certain extent he never wanted them to eat too well/approach his level of stardom or status. Why do you guys think he treated Kanye differently? I would think he saw Ye as his biggest threat from that standpoint. Was it because around the same time he was with Beyonce and that alone took him to another level? If that didn't happen, would Jay have treated Kanye like the rest?
Someone enlighten me if not even close

Well, for one who knows whether or not Jay Z "only let his guys eat to a certain extent." Stuff like that is straight up folklore to me man like how do we even know that's how he treated his friends?
And as for Ye, I just feel like Jay Z is a person who by most accounts is a pretty smart guy. He just recognized that Ye was someone who could extend his career, and be someone whom he could profit off of. Therefore, it benefitted him to embrace Ye as much as possible because as Ye win, J**** not only wins, but stays in the minds of the people because people will now associate Ye with J**** and vice versa. That in large part is why the watch the throne album came out.
